Casa Amore, also known as the Glass House by the Lake is a private rest house located at the center of Caliraya Lake which is nestled at the top of the Sierra Madre mountain range. Our house sits on a hill at the tip of a peninsula thereby giving the guests a 300 degree view of the pristine fresh water lake with a comfortable cool and windy weather. It is the ideal place to safely enjoy water sport activities, recharge or simply spend quality time with your family and friends.
“If you're looking for a place to relax, unwind and be away from the city crowds, this is the place! It's big enough for multiple families or for teams wanting to do something active or relaxing. There's a lot to do, or not do, while you're there. My advice: stay unplugged. (My 13 year old who hasn't left his computer's side for 100 days finished reading a book, played chess, sang songs, and actually got along with his younger sister!) It is quite isolated so make sure to bring all your food, condiments, and kitchen knives needed to complete your stay. Though if you need provisions, Pagsanjan (and its famous falls) is about 30 minutes away. Filipinos tend to shy away from lake swimming since the sea is everywhere. But how often do you get to kayak and peddle boat, paddle board or jump off a pier? Never! ( at least in the Philippines.) The water is so refreshing! And unlike many tourist areas, this one has no crowds. We had the lake all to ourselves. We also hired a banca to take us around the lake for an hour. That was a lovely trip! We will definitely come back and bring more friends and family.”

“The lakehouse is clean, private and very spacious!! This is perfect for big families, because everybody will get his/her own bed for the night. It's modern but still has the touches of "resthouse" feels. What I love the most is the free breakfast served by the staff. It is a very nice gesture because us guests are still able to make the most of their morning before check out since we don't have to make our own brekky. The only comment I can give is finding the lakehouse parking can be a bit tricky but it's not very hard. Waze is helpful. Also, prepare yourselves for the flight of stairs going from the kitchen/living area and going up to the pool area/bedrooms! It'll be your work-out for the trip 😉”
Best for a budget friendly stopover or short and long stay. This small 2 storey house is equipped with all you need specially if you want to cook your meals instead of eating in a restaurant to save your budget. Ideal location if you are visiting relatives in Paete and the neighboring towns, touring or planning for church visitation in the provinces of Rizal, Laguna and Quezon.
“Doc Con's place in Paete is just perfect for my family to stay at over a weekend of exploring the town of Paete, the carving capital of the Philippines ❤️ The town center is just a few minutes away, and transportation is very convenient. Both carving enthusiasts, my hubby and I enjoyed spending time watching the artisans do their thing at the next-door carving workshop owned by Doc Con's family. A stone's throw away is the CVB craftshop to buy your Paete- carved pieces, and nearby is the Museo Ac-ac. We will be staying again at Doc Con's place on our next Paete visit for sure 😊”
