VILLAGE HOUSE ideally located at the traditional village of Kamariotis, near the city of Heraklion, well decorated for 4 people. Quiet, cozy and fully equipped house, with expanded Queen bed size, air condition and wi-fi. The ''Village House'' is bright and quiet with all the comforts for a great stay. The backyard is surrounded by cretan herbs and small trees. Live like Cretans!
“Very spacious place (especially for two people), beautiful garden, lovely terraces. Appreciated the welcome tray! Only issue we had was with finding the house as the management company responsible for this property didn't send the address or directions. In the end, we just went to the village and had to ask a local. The village is surrounded by beautiful countryside. Buy what you need for your stay before you get there!”
An apartment right in the middle of Crete so you can tour the whole island. Within walking distance of the apartment you can find deserted beaches, quiet traditional villages and endless dirt roads for a walk, while two major cities are not far away. Heraklion is 35 km and Rethymno 42. The apartment has a comfortable courtyard. The sunset from the courtyard is literally amazing. The apartment has wifi, smart TV, air condition, washing machine and anything else that makes the accommodation easier.
“The place is exactly as advertised - a spacious, well-stocked, well-equipped studio that is lacking nothing. Full-blown kitchen. Veranda/deck. Views. Everything. Nikos and Irini are a delightful, hospitable young couple, and they are right there, upstairs, if you need anything. Make no mistake though: a hot spot this is not. This is an actual village, not a tourist mock-up. There are no tourists. Come to think of it, there is not much of anything. The nearest local beach is down the same road and through the orange and olive groves - about 35-40 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by car one way (which worked perfectly fine for me: you walk down, take a swim and come back up. Here's your daily dose of exercise). A much better and larger beach is in Bali, about 10 km back west. If you need "nightlife" or like to see and be seen, go elsewhere. But if you'd rather sit on a hill in the absolute quiet, watching the endless olive trees and the sea down below, this is the place.”
Relax under the bright Mediterranean sun, enjoy the magnificent Cretan landscape as well as a fantastic sea-view from this amazing villa, built at the foothill of mythical mount Ida amidst olive groves and sheep farms, in a quiet secluded village.
“Stunning views! I wanted to get the "horio" (village) experience, and this lovely home delivered. We received an amazing Cretan welcome including, beers, water, homemade buiscuits, muffins, sandwiches, fresh fruit, enough produce to make a Greek salad, and recommendations of what to see and do. The home is very clean and rustic. Fully equipped kitchen. I used the washing machine and it worked perfectly. At night you can literally see every star in the sky!!! A real treat for a city dweller like myself. The sounds of dogs, goats, sheep, cows, cats, cekadas, and various unrecognizable animals fill your senses. Incredible mountain winds keep the home cool as a cucumber during the hot summer, keep in mind that these winds are strong and sound very loud. I think it goes without saying that you need a car to stay here. Parking right out front of the house. These roads are steep and narrow at points. If you plan on staying out late, the drive back is very dark combined with the winding roads makes it difficult for a driver not used to those conditions. The local villagers are super friendly. Although the home seems remote, driving into Iraklion or to Knossos is half an hour and many points of interest are easy to get to.”
