Tiger Moon Resort is situated adjoining the Ranthambore National Park with a foreground view , sharing a Boundary with the Project Tiger National Park. The resort offers luxurious cottages spread over a large area. The cottage and Semi natural gardens blend harmoniously with the surroundings and offer an abundance of birds, monkeys in the compound Itself. well stocked bar overlooking the swimming pool. Jungle safari, bird watching, cultural dances, barbeque dinner are the highlights of the stay.
“Set in beautiful, quiet and serene grounds, this is a perfect base for safaris into the Park (it’s right next to one of the entrances). The staff were excellent and very helpful and friendly. The food was good and plentiful and at Rs500 pp for lunch or dinner, good value. There were lovely fire pits at night (cold at this time of year) to sit around. The bathroom was in need of some refurbishment - the shower curtain was pretty stained and not very nice and wouldn’t cost much to replace. We would definitely recommend staying here - AND we saw a tigress on our first safari! But prepare to be disappointed- very few others saw a tiger despite several safaris.”
Situated on a hill, The Fort is a royal heritage home. This haveli is a treat for those who have a penchant for history. This 6-bedroom fortress with a view of the Ranthambore forest is in Sapotra, Rajasthan. The home is graced with rustic embellishments like the remains of 250-year-old Tigers and Barasinghas are mounted on the walls. Experience the true Rajasthani culture as you savour local home-cooked meals made by the Cook and the trained Caretaking Staff ensures a warm and hassle-free stay.
“Very beautiful heritage property. Great hosts, very prompt communication. Very clean and well managed property. Beautiful 360 degrees views around the fort. Rooms are nice and comfortable. Though the approach to the exact location from Sapotra is through village interiors, could be tiresome for elderly people, the stay at the fort is comfortable. Staff is very nice and helpful. Home cooked food, not oily or overly spicy. Local flavours and cuisine. Hosts are very helpful in arranging for local sight seeing. Would not recommend to someone expecting very today’s “resort” kind of experience or food or restaurants. But surely to those who love unique old heritage kind of experience which is comfortable but homely too. Thank you once again Thakur family for your hospitality”
