Approximately 6 km away is Hitler's Headquarters in Gierłoży, so it's a great place for people who want to explore bunkers not only in Gierinie, but also other war quarters in the area. Karolewo is a small town with an interesting history, as well as a great base for trips around the area (lakes, forests, monuments) as well as for a shorter or longer stay🙂
