Vacation rentals in Karpathos

Maria’s apartment is comfortable and a great location! It’s close to everything and she was a great host! She was helpful and friendly and gave amazing local restaurant and activity recommendations! She was flexible with and early check in and we appreciated it! We would definitely stay here again!

a place like nowhere else, being there at the end of the season made it feel you have a private beach, the private beach in an magnificent setting...and you need 2 minutes to walk there from the appt.... easy check-in, perfect communication, clean place...what do you need more

We stayed a week in early August. Accommodation matching the description. Impeccable cleanliness. Very helpful host (he lives upstairs) but reserved and not intrusive. However, privacy is not absolute for the above. The house is a great base for those who want to visit the island. Beautiful view of the Bay of Pugadia. Nice company from Lulu, the host's little dog. Recommended.

The house is exactly as you can see from the photos... lovely place!The tranquility is the master. The pool is definitely an extra element despite the crazy sea of the island. Personally we used it morning and night and at night you have a view of the stellar mantle!! In short, everything is really fantastic but there is an extra element... on the contrary, two... the people (unfortunately it does not make me write the names) that we found at the check-in... fantastic people... reserved... discreet kind and always with a smile In short, they add human quality to a place that is really beautiful. Everything was great, we were sick in between and were even provided with soup and we were looked after. It is right by the beach, great restaurants, it is not a kitchen but also with a kettle and a supermarket nearby you will find enough to eat. Everything in the immediate vicinity, you get fresh fruit from the garden and then it is generally treated top, super thank you

The house has everything you need - a great sea view, plenty of space and peace and quiet. It is very close to Arkasa and you can also reach many beautiful beaches very quickly. You can also run on the beach infront of the house, but it is not for swimming. The house itself is very clean and the air conditioning works perfectly. The house can also be cooled very quickly by opening the doors. The only downside is that the neighbouring dogs bark from time to time at night. All in all, we really liked it. Angelo and his mother were really very friendly and looked after us very well.

I missed meeting Paul as he only comes to water the plants, and to feed the chickens and donkey at first light or even earlier! However, his son, Giorgos, was amazingly helpful, responding immediately to anything I needed! He even brought me a smaller, softer pillow to suit my preferences, and generously gave me fresh eggs from their chickens, and helped me to look for my car key when I couldn't find it at checkout! He also gave helpful instructions how to operate the hob. ( The top right symbol is the lock, so don't press that one!) Just press bottom right then select which side you want to cook on and press the red flashing numbers to adjust the power and timer. The microwave is a combi, so also functions as a little oven. The elevated location and peacefulness of the house itself were perfect for my 2 day stay and it's only 15 minutes drive to a sandy beach just past the airport.

Maria's house was perfect for a 10 day stay, as we could drive throughout the island from that location. My Greek friend travelled from Chios to meet up with me, as she had always dreamed of visiting Olympos, a traditional village 39km further north up many winding, mountainous roads, but well worth a visit. We also had breakfast with the 90 year old neighbour who lives a short walk up the rough road and enjoyed quiet beaches around the island swimming in crystal clear, calm seas. The local mini market in Othos, a village down from Stes, was very useful, as we mainly cooked our own meals in the well equipped kitchen, (γίγαντες στο φούρνο, τραχανά, τουρουλουού, και πολλές σαλάτες κτλ) though we did enjoy fish soup, and the best ντολμαδάκια (domadakia) ever at Kyma in Pigadia, and delicious κατσίκι (goat) with super tasty onion and tomato stuffed aubergines in Olympos village. I also managed to paint three oil paintings on location, in the perfect 24-26 degree October sunshine.

Christina's place is the best place for a family who wants to visit the beautiful island of Karpathos. Two very spacious double bedrooms, a large living room, a kitchen where you can dine. The bathroom is not very large but is extremely functional and is equipped with a washing machine. Each room is the living room has air conditioning. There are 3 terraces and a fantastic view. the apartment is located at the beginning of the center of Pigadia but not too much so as to avoid too much noise ( with the windows closed and the air conditioning you can sleep very well). The host is very kind and very helpful. When we return to Karpathos we will choose this place again
