Built in traditional Kerala architectural style with a central courtyard open to the sky, RadhaMadhvam, our house, is surrounded by paddy fields and coconut trees. Ideal time to visit is monsoon (June-July) when rainwater gushes into the courtyard. Onam (Aug-Sept) is also a good time. Dishes served to the guests are made in Kerala Palakkad style, vegetarian. Nearby places of interest: Neliyampathy (hill station known for tea and oranges), Malampuzha botanical gardens and snake park.
Farm house with paddy fields, lots of trees, very isolated but road right in front, best for rewinding
Coconut Crazy! has available 2 bedrooms with attached baths. Our Homestay is in a quiet neighborhood village, but close to the hustle of the city. If you are a nature lover then you have much to enjoy. We are settled amidst a coconut grove with banana trees and flowers abounding. We have plenty of birds and butterflies to enjoy. We are close to the home of the 2nd largest Pooram in the state at Chinakkathoor Temple.
“We stayed with Treva and Shekar for 2 nights - they were great hosts. It was a very special way to end our time in India. Shekar picked us up from the bus station. Treva cooked delicious food. The house and garden are very well kept. The room is clean and comfortable. We shared many interesting conversations over tea, beer and meal times! They showed us around their organic garden and the tea paddies at the bottom of the lane. The property is within walking distance of the local village. It’s a peaceful location. Shekar also took us to the local Toddy Shop which was a great experience. A very interesting and accommodating couple - make sure you stay here if you are in the area!”
