Vacation rentals with lake access in Kershaw County

Five stars for Brian and his little house on the lake. My husband and I spent the weekend for our anniversary and we fell in love with everything about it. Absolutely beautiful lakefront view, with the perfect view of the sunset over the lake every night. The house was super clean and modern inside, with everything you would need to cook with if needed (pots, pans, plates, glasses, spices, etc.). The bathroom had extra towels and wash cloths which was nice. They supplied little baskets of snacks in the pantry which we thought was very thoughtful and we don’t see much at airbnbs. We used the dock and private beach for fishing the whole weekend and it was wonderful to have the privacy and quiet to ourselves. We loved using the blackstone to cook each meal on and it convinced my husband we needed one lol. I messaged Brian the first night asking if he had any lights for the dock to see when we were fishing and he replied almost immediately. Super responsive hosts and amazing place!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay while in town visiting family Thanksgiving weekend. The house is comfy and cozy and the view of the lake is absolutely stellar! Unfortunately it was very chilly outside while we were there, but we enjoyed the view from the comfort of the warm living room and I cooked some delicious food, while taking in the beauty of the lake, from all of the windows in the very well equipped kitchen. We only had one brief hiccup when first arriving and trying to get into the house, but Miller answered my phone call on the first try and was super nice and helped us figure it out very quickly! We loved how quiet and peaceful the area is and enjoyed seeing all of the wildlife! The only thing that could have possibly made our stay better was having access to a washer and dryer, but otherwise it was perfect and we can't wait to come back and stay again! Highly recommend a stay in this beautiful home! 😊

The house was perfect for our group of three moms and daughters in town for a dance competition. We felt right at home and had a great time. The view of the lake was beautiful! The girls are already hoping they have another dance competition in the area next year so we can stay here again.

Spent the kids spring break at the lake and couldn’t ask for a better house to stay in. Plenty of space for us to enjoy our time, eat and play. It close to the marina so driving the boat to get ice cream every day was a plus! It was quiet and peaceful and definitely a great place to unwind.

Clean, plenty of entertainment, minimal cleaning request for check out. The house is stunning and so is the view of the lake. It is BEAUTIFUL. I would absolutely stay here again.

I just LOVE sitting on the deck, on the dock, being with the sounds of the birds, frogs... and given it was spring, oh the baby ducks and geese! Adorable. Such a replenishing stay, I will definitely stay again.

Words cannot express the peace my husband and I felt staying here. We're always looking forwar to the next big adventure but sometimes life calls for quiet. My husband fished, while I relaxed and read. This place was truly a relaxing paradise to us. We will definitely return.

We enjoy our stay. The property’s location is implacable and well maintained. The hosts have definitely put in lots of thoughts in caring for it. Beautiful surroundings that’ll make you want to linger. Great pool and lounge area, charming cottage and an easy 15min commute to the local grocery store.

A super clean and comfortable cottage with a GREAT view of the lake and a tremendous porch with lots of seating...we will definitely book again! We liked that there were plenty of 'basics' on hand like cleaning supplies, paper towels, coffee, etc so that we did not have to immediately head out for more. The hosts were outstanding. They texted prior the arrival time to say that the unit was ready if we it needed earlier. They also communicated the day before that we could have a later check out if we needed. They didn't have to do either of those things, but it was a welcoming touch, and made us feel like we were valued & visiting with friends. We highly recommend this cottage for a relaxing getaway!

We will always come stay at Ruth‘s place on the lake. It is absolutely the best beach on a lake for those who want to relax and bring their dogs and lay out in the sun and play in the water and in the sand; this is our second summer trip and we hope to be back in the fall or spring and of course, would love to stay for another long weekend next summer. This is not a loud and busy place, which is why we love to come here when we’re just looking to get away and disconnect. Although The Retreat up the road has amazing food and the state park around the corner had excellent bbq and walking trails that we discovered this time around. Thank you Ruth for always providing a calm experience on the lake.

Beautiful location with a comfortable cottage. Host was very kind having our dogs. Yard was nice, shared dock was great to hang out on. Came in the offseason and was a quiet setting. We did not leave the dock/porch often! Grill was great, there was wood stocked for the fire pit and kayak with life vests available to use.

Matt’s place was perfect. Close to boat landings and a great dock. Plenty of outdoor space to enjoy and great views. We really enjoyed this location and house. We can’t wait to come back.
