We are a farmhouse in the woods 2 miles from the city limits, 4 miles from Thousand Hills State Park, and 5 miles from Truman State University. While staying, you will feel secluded and private but be a 10 minute drive away from everything! The house was built in 2017 with a farmhouse style in mind. The acid stain concrete floors make it easy to come and go as you please. The neighborhood is family and wildlife oriented. Come unwind and relax in the sticks!
“Dream escape into the woods! We loved spending a few days nestled back in the woods on this secluded property. Relaxed in the hot tub under the stars, cooked on the grill, and chilled out by the fire. The living room is bigger than it looks in the pictures, with comfy sofas to lounge on while watching movies on a big tv. The bedding was super soft, and mattresses very comfy. Loads of kitchen supplies and conveniences. Town was nearby with fast food and grocery stores.”

“Jason was quick to respond and a helpful host. The apartment location is convenient, well situated and close to Truman State. “Incredibly spacious and homey, perfect for long term stays. What makes the place even better is Tamara’s amazing hospitality. She really went above and beyond and made sure I was comfortable and was quick to address any of my concerns. I was here when a storm came in and she even offered to take me to work when it was particularly bad, knowing that I’m not used to driving in winter conditions. That really was not something I expected from a host and I really appreciated the gesture. Great place to stay if you’re in town!”
