“This sweet little farm was such a pleasure to stay at! We were welcomed with such warm hospitality (and a warm haskap berry crumble which didn’t stand a chance once my kids started digging in!). There were farm fresh eggs of every color ready for us in the fridge for breakfast the next day and quality coffee as well which we really appreciated because we forgot to bring some! The house is beautifully renovated (it was part of the barn which was so charming!) with plenty of space for our family of 5. One room is fitted with bunks which was great for our 3 kiddos (double on the bottom and single on top) . The beds were very comfortable and off the master bed you can watch the goings on In the barn from a private sun room. The views are gorgeous and you really feel like you are away from it all. Walking around and chatting with the animals was wonderful and there was lots of snow to play in, which my children thoroughly enjoyed. Myself spent most of the time in front of a roaring fire in the wood burning stove with my feet up catching up on some reading:) It was a very peaceful and enjoyable weekend! We will be back for Haskap berry season (and anytime we need to stay in Smithers!) Thank you for making us feel so at home!!”

“Staying for two nights we enjoyed this very clean, modern and lovely place. It had basically everything we could ask for, well thought out facilities and a lot of nice small details and extras. Tara was kind enough to leave us some fresh eggs in the fridge, an absolute lifesaver after the day long of driving. Somehow we managed to trip the breaker and were unable to reset it ourselves, but Tara responded super quickly and resolved the issue right away. That gave us the chance to chit chat a little bit, ask some questions and learn a little bit about the area. Overall a very pleasant experience, lovely host and we'd definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone.”
Bev’s Place is a lovely cabin on 8 acres on the Bulkley River approximately 30km out of Smithers. The cabin has privacy, two covered decks, fire pit and a cozy interior. A propane fireplace provides both an ambiance and heat with a old cook stove that also contributes heat. The kitchen is fully stocked with a 3 burner propane stove and a small apartment sized electric fridge. Hide-a-bed is a double bed with a queen bed in the loft. Bathroom includes a shower.
“This was a lovely place and the hosts were very friendly. It’s a great location for river walk, very rural setting and a fire pit by the river. The cabin was cosy and very well equipped for self-catering. Need to make sure you buy food to take as it’s quite a way from stores, restaurants or bars. If you have a problem with mobility you may find the upstairs bed arrangements a challenge but there is also a bed downstairs. Would recommend.”
