Our little farm in the city is located two blocks from the Chicago border with Oak Park; also two blocks from the Green Line, with access to downtown Chicago in 30 minutes. We currently have 5 international students also living with us, who are in the country to learn English, and look forward to practicing their emerging language skills with our other guests. We have one dog and three cats inside our house, and 5 adult goats and a growing number of baby goats. We welcome guest animals.
“Read the description and enjoy what you’re getting into. It’s a good place to stay—I’d consider long term here. What I want to say is, thanks for offering a safe and clean and comfortable place with such a vibrant and healthy, accepting group of people. I know what it takes to establish and maintain such a household and very much appreciate what you’re doing. I laid down in a sparkling clean warm bed in a cool room overlooking the neighborhood below. Falling asleep to the rumble of the elevated train a few blocks over I dreamed a perfect winter dream. David and Carolyn, thanks. (a wonderful hardworking caring couple)”

“We booked this trip to visit Chicago. It was a great price and we decided to stay here instead of in Chicago proper because of the price. We figured we could save money this way and spend more money on experiences. Oak Park is really nice. We decided to walk each morning to the train station (about a mile...20-25min) We felt safe and got to see a little bit of this town. They have great cafes (Courageous Bakery) and a fun brewery (Oak Park Brewery). The room was clean and the bathroom was big (Which I was very happy about). The walls were thin where I could hear easily through them. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the room so it didn’t bother us much. We booked this Airbnb back in November, before COVID-19. Unfortunately We had to end our trip early. Zarko was very nice and accommodating during this time.”

“All as expected. Highly recommended if you need to stay for several nights in Western Spring. The only little thing that happened to my stay was that the knob at the front door somehow accidentally locked when I left the apartment for the first time. The top lock was a number pad. There was a set of keys storing at the MasterLock at the door knob, but for some reason that master lock attached to the door knob was broken. Thanks must be given to the host who drove 30 mins to my place in order to open the front door for me despite very late night. Anyways, I advise that the host should check really carefully if the masterlock at the knob can work properly before next upcoming guests. Or instructions need to include on check-in page to state that other sets of keys are at the dining table for this front door knob. Thanks so much!”
