“The house is incredible. Equipped with everything necessary for the stay. It is careful to the last detail: music, playstation, candles, wine, letters, incense ... The patio is unbeatable, very quiet and the pool / jacuzzi breathtaking. The colorful lights of the house and the patio give it a romantic and peaceful touch. We have rested as never before in the "Water" room, which is beautiful and very harmonious. Floren and Maribel, for their part, have been very attentive and have solved all kinds of doubts. The village is very quiet and the people very nice. It is the perfect place if you want to disconnect from the big cities. We will be repeating soon!”
The "House of the Fisherman" comes from the restoration of a house in the quartered eastern mining town of Puerto de la Laja banks of the Guadiana river, declared of Cultural Interest by the Government of Andalusia in the category of Historical Site. The house is so named because its inhabitants was the last eel fisherman.
“A great experience. Without doubt the port of Laja is a site to discover located in a magnificent natural environment, from the house there is a panoramic view of the Guadiana, border of Portugal, splendid and you can see the history and special magnetism of this area at every step. The house is beautiful maintaining the original structure of wooden beams of the old house of the last fisherman of angulas but modified to cover all the comforts of modern life, perfectly equipped and full of details. Manoli the housekeeper was as friendly as all the people we met there, there were not many and we can only say that we have enjoyed this discovery, a magical area, a great house and some lovely people. We will be back.”

“The views from the roof terrace across the river Guadiana are stunning, and the house is really comfortable, and we soon felt very at home there. Dolores had left us with a big basket of provisions, and the house was spotless, with all we needed. The relaxed nature of the place, the quiet river flowing by, the sunshine all worked their magic to help us unwind in no time. We did not want to leave!”
