Vacation rentals with lake access in Lake County

Excellent get away. I wanted a weekend to recover after a busy spring where I could feel relaxed. This is it. Literally no cell service (was able to get messages to the sitter via the excellent internet), there is a camp ground that is across the way, but when you’re in the backyard you feel like people no longer exsist. Quiet, tranquil and just what I needed. Brought food to cook in the well stocked kitchen. We didn’t leave because we didn’t need to. We will definitely be back.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible cabin, and it exceeded all of my expectations! The moment I walked in, I was struck by the beautiful decoration and the charming antiques that give the place such a warm and unique character. Every corner seemed to have a story to tell. The beds were extremely comfortable, making it easy to get a good night’s sleep. The views from the cabin were absolutely breathtaking. Me and my friends were literally debating to decide who was going to sleep in the bed by the window with the lake view. The scenery of that place is something special. We made great use of the grill and spent time lounging by the pool, which was the perfect way to relax. Dave was incredibly hospitable, making sure we had everything we needed. If you’re looking for a getaway that combines comfort, style, and a touch of nostalgia, this cabin is the perfect choice. I can’t wait to return!

Overall, I stayed for 2 weeks. The first week was with my family. My grandchildren are young, so that the beach and lake were perfect for them..sandy bottom and shallow for a distance. Also, it was great for kayaking and paddle boarding. The 2nd week was with 2 girlfriends and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. We didn't get in our cars to go anywhere all week!! Hung out on the lovely deck and beach, drank wine and grilled perfect dinners. At night, had beach fires most nights. And the stars at night were spectacular!!! The hosts were great. Always responsive, friendly and helpful. The setting was lovely and was everything I expected. Thank you!!!

This cottage exceeded our expectations. It was sparkling clean, nicely decorated and didn't have unnecessary knickknacks for our kids to break. The beds were very comfortable. Cottage was generously stocked with lots of extras like shampoo, cleaning supplies, extra linens and towels. And the view!! It felt like we were totally surrounded by water. I woke up in the morning and each curtain that I opened surprised me with the beauty. This is not an isolated cabin. We did go on a holiday weekend so might not be typical, but there were plenty of neighbors around and the lake was pretty busy on Sunday. The next day had less boat traffic. We enjoyed playing in our small private beach, swimming, and kayaking. Host was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely consider visiting again.

We had to come to Baldwin somewhat last minute and for only one night. After looking at some of the local motel accommodations, we were extremely grateful to have come across this property! Very clean and the owner was responsive and friendly.

Two Lakes Lodge was the perfect place to kick off our Michigan trip! We loved it so much, we already booked our next stay! The home was spotless, beautifully updated, and in the absolute best location. Right in the heart of town! Walking distance to several restaurants, coffee shop, local markets, and ice cream! We noticed a few reviews mention water pressure or a sulfur smell, but we simply followed the host’s tip to run the water for a few minutes when we arrived and we had zero issues. The water was hot, pressure was great, and everything worked perfectly. Truly a wonderful stay. You won’t be disappointed!

Lovely place RIGHT on the lake. My husband and I went for a date weekend of ice fishing and relaxation. Yes-it was a perfect spot to walk out and fish despite the quantities of snow! Restaurants all right there in walking distance- hours are different than what is on menus or online so be aware. Very clean and cozy place that was spacious and warm. We will definitely keep it on our list for the future!

This place is cute as a button with the layout and decorations! Not overly big or too small - just right! During the summer, it would be even more awesome being on the lake as this place and has kayaks and paddle boards! I really wish it had been warmer so I could have used them. Nice fire pit too. Books! Lots to choose from! My mom and I really enjoyed it! I look forward to coming back for each of the seasons!

An absolutely beautiful space and amazing hosts. I had the perfect stay with Monica and Gary, they were so friendly and helpful. The apartment is the cleanest rental I have ever stayed in by far, the view from the balcony is beautiful and the lake access is beautiful with a large sandy beach. I will definitely be staying here again when I visit lake city. Also, very comfy beds and a quiet peaceful neighborhood. Highly recommend.

We've stayed a few times with Dave and always love our time here. He is very responsive to questions, makes excellent suggestions, and even provides a holiday touch. We love staying here with access to the kayaks on Portage Lake in the summer and the beautiful views year-round.

Super cute apartment unit! They had all the amenities, clear instructions, it was super clean and easy to check in and out of! Very nice! The host was super helpful with instructions and information before check in too!

We have stayed several times now. This place has a beautiful view of Lake Missaukee. They are always accommodating with check-in time. Check in and out was easy. Walking distance to restaurants. It had everything we needed. Host was very responsive.

We loved the house! We come up north all the time and this will be our place of choice if available going forward!

This was a perfect, peaceful getaway for my husband and two boys (ages 13 and 10). We pretty much had the lake to ourselves. We really enjoyed kayaking and swimming. The house was very clean and very cozy. The kitchen had everything we needed. We traveled to Ludington and to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes. Both are about a 40 min drive. Brian’s directions got us right to the cottage with no issue. The location was quiet and peaceful while we were there. Definitely recommend and will keep in mind for the future!

This cottage was the perfect family vacation! it had everything you needed to relax and enjoy the outdoors. We loves that it was lakefront, beach area, kayaks, canoe, and paddleboat. We made smores and watched the sunset. This was also a quiet and clear lake. Great visibility! Mr. Bibs was right down the street for anything you forgot and Great icecream! We'll be back!

The Cabin on the lake is an absolutely perfect place to unwind for a few days. We spent a special thanksgiving weekend there cooking and getting cozy in beautiful natural surroundings. Vera Ellen's place has everything you need and was an ideal getaway. Her communication was excellent and we felt supported throughout. Would return 10/10!

This place has it in the name, its truly an amazing property. Karen is an incredible host and has thought of all the little details. Its clean, the beds are super comfortable, fully stocked kitchen, the deck is huge, there's an amazing fire pit overlooking the water and the water itself is crystal clear. The sunsets, breathtaking and you'll want to leave your day to day and just stay there. We had an absolute blast. Will look to rent again many times in the future. The view was gorgeous! It had snowed several inches and it was so white and peaceful! Great to sit with a cup of hot cocoa and just relax and take in the view! Very cozy and comfortable, we will come back again!

Casey's home was exactly what we were looking for for our 9-person multi-generational family vacation. The house, amenities, and surroundings were just as described. We enjoyed a week of home cooked meals, swimming in the beautiful lake, boating, and playing in the yard. The house is quite remote, so we didn't venture out much, but we didn't need to pass the time.

This cabin is absolutely perfect. The atmosphere is relaxing. The lake is small and not as busy as Big Star Lake. The view out the back window in the morning almost feels like you have the whole lake to yourself. Everything was provided for. There was an abundance of firewood for the pit. We didn't get to enjoy as much as we wished but it is extremely comfortable. The location is conveniently between a major grocery store and a small convenience store. Off the road, but not on the twisty, bumpy trails common of the area. Finally, the value is outstanding. I highly recommend this place for a quiet getaway.
