It's a best place and peaceful. Spent our days calmly and the view behind the cottage is awesome.

We had a great time at this cottage and was able to fit quite a few people. Spacious, clean, more than what we asked for. Examples- wash cloths, spices, dishes, seating, bedding. So worth it and we will be coming back!

Our third year in a row staying here and like always everything was perfect. Matthew is a great host, very responsive and always helpful. The property is perfect, always clean and clear instructions on check out. Has everything a family would need. This will always be our go to BNB when visiting Alpena. My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay here. Such a beautiful property! It was quiet and serene. The inside was spacious but comfortable, we felt right at home! Since it was a little chilly when we went, I was still able to enjoy the views of the lake from the couch with a cup of coffee. Brenda is a great host, very responsive, provided clear instructions, and ensured we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Will definitely be back!

Outstanding! Very clean. We clean up after ourselves so not getting slammed with a high house cleaning fee and other fees made this a great value for families. One of the best places we’ve ever rented and Becca was so nice to work with.

This was an excellent location and the place was so cute, cozy and clean! Thank you Cindy and Paul for your great hospitality and accommodating us for an extra night! A great location. the lake views were awesome. The kids loved the fire pit and the ability to have their own space. Great local restaurants and shops and easy access to Toronto and Niagara.

Great cozy cabin! We came up during the off season so it was very quiet and peaceful. The place is as described and as shown in pictures. Just a minutes walk across the sand to the water, beautiful view! Paul was very welcoming and accommodating. We booked last minute on a snow storm weekend and Paul made sure the driveway was plowed, which we really appreciated. Considering it was the off season and snowy weekend there wasn’t a ton of things open, but we loved that the cabin was stocked with games. We found and really liked Brew Moon Cafe in Caseville and The Farm restaurant in Port Austin. Both opposite directions from each other but within a 15 min drive from the cabin.

We loved staying at Lindsay’s property. Everything was very clean and nicely furnished. With 2 children this was a perfect location to ski in and ski out. The space is very small, it is a studio, not a 1-bedroom condo, there is a huge, comfy king bed and a very good pull out sofa bed, but they are pretty tightly packed into the space. The owners provided games and books which was a nice touch. The bedding and the towels were beautifully soft and clean. The kitchen cabinets are very high up, we needed a step stool to get to any pots, pans and cups. This was available, we didn’t make a big dea out of it, we made it work, and really enjoyed our stay. We would recommend this stay and definitely come again.

Lovely lovely place. Sitting on the deck watching over the blue waters of the bay - dreamy! Kids had fun at the beach and in the pool. Highly recommend.

The Bunkie was cozy and everything we were looking for! Amazing horizon view, and lots of helpful tips on how to use everything!

My boyfriend and I stayed the weekend, it was a great location, Joe was very responsive and friendly! We had only 1 concern with the bbq that was not clean, but it has been handled with effectively. Overall space was very clean, it was easy to find kitchen supplies, and other items in the house! A great location with stores, restaurants at a walking distance, and other attractions within a 30 minute drive

Walk out basement to the few steps to get to the beach area. Well stocked kitchen. Recommend bringing your own water if desired ( well water I believe) . Beautiful sunsets. Game room was fun .. bring quarters to play though . Highly recommend

We loved staying here for a little weekend getaway! Dorene and John were so helpful and kind. The place was awesome so close to everything! Everything was so cozy and well put together, the hot tub with view is awesome!! We for sure will be back

The cottage was beautiful! With the lake outside the back door, and several outdoor spaces to relax in, this home would be a blast in the summer. We enjoyed the fireplace, hot tub, and the cozy spots inside during a snow storm. It was perfect getaway, and look forward to coming back!

Great place for a getaway. Check in is easy. The main room gets incredible light and has a lovely view. Highly recommend.

Our family of 10 adults and 2 children had a wonderful time at Matt’s lake house. The home was well equipped and comfortable. We greatly enjoyed the outdoor seating, pool, hot tub, yard and lake. The large kitchen was great and had everything we needed to cook our meals. We loved the secluded, quiet location and the eagles. . We enjoyed a day trip to Niagara on the lake and Niagara Falls. Thanks for a great week.

Very spacious and clean property. All appliances including coffee were available . Great views and very peaceful. Highly recommend this property, will definitely look to rent again!

Came in October. The instructions on how to find the A frame cabin were clear. It was a bit tricky to find but thankfully Jen’s instructions led us straight there without getting lost. Check in was super easy as we arrived just as it was getting dark. We woke to a beautiful vista right on the water. Everything around the cabin was serene and quiet. No loud neighbor or kids in the vicinity. Very private with own beach and kayaking included. Kitchen had everything we needed to make meals at home. Bedding was supplied, mattresses were very firm but comfortable. Cabin itself was extremely spacious with huge windows and large back deck. Dining table inside and outside. Even a screened dining area close to the water in addition. Sandy area for a game of horseshoes, fire pit, new BBQ with utensils and plenty of parking. We had a wonderful peaceful experience and hoping to come back when the water is a bit warmer. Price was one of the best on the island for this season! Thank you Jen!

Such a great stay! So close to a great beach and tons of stuff close for last minute grocery runs etc. House was very clean and spacious! If staying making sure you bring extra paper towels, trash bags, ziplocs, and those sort of things cause they are sparse (this do tell you this when you book!)

We had such a great time staying at Ken’s place! The only thing that would have made this trip better is if the skies were clear during the days we stayed so we could have fully enjoyed the amazing view of the sunset and stars that the property offers! Our dogs loved staying here as well and they had lots of room to run around and play freely. Our time here was so peaceful and such a nice getaway and we can’t wait to come back!

Trestin was an outstanding host. He was knowledgeable about the activity our vacation was built around, and gave us perfect tips for timing, parking, and planning. When our vacation took an unexpected and unfortunate turn right at the end, he extended his hand to offer help was able to assist us in figuring out what needed to be done. We would reserve with him again upon our next visit.
