The Hamilton is a 1920s Pullman train car located in the historic village of Lamy, NM in it's own tree lined park next to the Lamy Train Station where Amtrak stops twice daily. A 20 minute drive from Santa Fe makes this is a great getaway while staying close to the action. The Hamilton is a 2 min walk to the soon to be opened El Ortiz Cafe, Nuckolls Beer Garden and The Legal Tender Restaurant. Our four season casita is nestled on 5 acres of wooded land near the top of the canyon. Enjoy beautiful sunset views overlooking the Cowboy, Jemez and Sangre de Christo mountain ranges from your private deck. A stargazers delight, evenings are celebrated as you bask in the quiet of the night. The closest hiking trails are a 15 minute walk or 3 minute drive from the casita. We are located immediately off the Original Old Rt 66 with numerous distinct climates within a twenty minute drive.

Chameleon, Rustic Cabin, Unit 1 with private deck

Chameleon: 2 room cabin, NO running water and no toilet facilities in the casita, sleeps 4, possibly 5, two (2) double beds in the bedroom, and a daybed for an extra person (for an added fee of $20.) Wood stove, hot plate & electric appliances for cooking. Open deck on the Pecos River! with an outdoor fireplace. Community bathhouse with commodes and showers, 300 feet from Chameleon. Some road noise can be heard, especially during peak travel times.

(No pets) Choose silence, solitude in our 12'x14' AIR CONDITIONED furnished hut, with a picture window view of Mesa; bed, desk, rocking chair, kitchenette. (1 guest only) and Wi-Fi. Space dedicated for meditation, prayer, writing. Private shower 90 steps away, inside main house. Hiking trail minutes away. Vaccination recommended. (Note: our second retreat space, inside main house, has private bath, kitchen use, library and LR.)
