“If you want peace of mind and a nature experience of the few, head to Alamanda village. Here you wake up to beautiful adhan recited with bird chirps and tropical song. The cabins have everything you need, the staff is pleasant and the surroundings give you the peace you long for in a busy day. If you are traveling with children, rent one of the cabins closest to the pool. Here they can run freely between trees and shrubs, cuddle with the cat and cool off in the pool with all the toys the place has to offer. Buy your own food and light the grill an hour before sunset. No restaurant on the island will beat the experience of barbecue in the sunset you get here.”

“What a wonderful and peaceful stay in at a Malay Kampung house at Sunset Valley. If you want to experience the life of a Malaysian kampung, book no further :) Birds chirping, monkeys watching, and friendly cats and dogs made this place even more a pleasure to stay in! What a treat away from the hustle and bustle. We didn't want to leave, looking forward to return in future!”

“We just completed a 5-day stay at Michaela and Voelker's place. As it turned out, we were their first guests since March due to Malaysia's Movement Control Order. Everything was in such perfect order, one would never have realized it. Our stay was nothing short of spectacular. Michaela was a wonderful host, from our first e-mail until checkout. She responded promptly to all e-mails/texts, make phone calls on our behalf, and made helpful recommendations that greatly enhanced our stay. We especially enjoyed having access to a swimming pool, something that continues to remain inaccessible at hotels and condos throughout Malaysia. The entire experience could not have been better. Given that we live in Malaysia, we will make every effort to return for another visit. Thank you so much for everything, Michaela.”
