“We thoroughly enjoyed our two-night visit at Mike and Di's place. The apartment has a colorful beach theme and was immaculately clean and fresh! We felt so welcome from the moment we walked in the door. Mike and Di seemed to be working on a few projects in their house next door, but always mysteriously disappeared anytime we came out to enjoy the backyard overlooking the water. The "she shed" was full of fun things to do. Although we were unable to use the raft because of algae, we were able to try out the kayaks. We enjoyed dinner at the Shipyard on the east side of the Black River our first night and in Vermilion our second night.”
Beautiful view of Lake Erie from most rooms of this charming home. The home was built in 1911 with many updates, A cottage feel with all the amenities. The décor is a mixture of antiques and art, sort of shabby chic. I also provide coffee for you. The Backyard has a patio, bbq grill, wood swing and of course the lake view. Sunroom has full view of lake. All. Bedrooms are upstairs. . Great neighbors who will help you with anything questions. There is a pier and marina in walking distance.
“Tammy's place was so inviting with exceptional views. The beds were very comfortable and the lake view was exceptional. It was perfect for my family of 5 and I would highly recommend staying here.”
RATES LOWERED 25%! ENJOY LAKE ERIE AT ITS MEANEST (BUT MOST FUN TO WATCH) DURING THE WINTER. NORTH WINDS, CRASHING WAVES AND, HOPEFULLY, A NICE SNOWSTORM. Great views of Lake Erie; beach available (weather permitting). The door is 100' from Lake Erie beach. Private property; please make sure you and your guests can swim as there is no lifeguard on duty at any time. You can kayak and windsurf or simply swim but you can also fish for walleye and perch if you like (weather permitting with license).
“One word for the place—AMAZING! Sunset views from the fire pit and balcony areas are a must. Excellent communication from the host and the others on the property are super kind and hospitable as well. The place is beyond worth the money for the views alone and is sparkling clean. We didn’t get a chance to kayak this time as we were distracted by getting into Erie island shenanigans, but we look forward to getting that chance in a future stay someday. We were offered to utilize kayaks on the property if we were interested, which was another thoughtful and generous perk to the property. We will definitely be staying again in the future. Thanks for being great hosts!”
