Cabin vacation rentals in Lost River

The cabin was really nice with comfortable accommodations and everything you need. There is a road that runs in front of and behind the cabin that has quite a bit of traffic on the weekend as the road is an entrance to a park/campground and it was a holiday weekend. This was a benefit to us though as we love to hike and could walk to or drive within a couple of minutes to several really great trails! Having the heated in ground pool for my daughter was amazing and when we had some issues with Bees the owners handled it right away. This is definitely a cabin in the woods by the water so come prepared with bug repellant. We did venture out to some local wineries and a lavender farm/winery but would have been just as content to enjoy the cabin and the property! Overall we really enjoyed this place and would totally go back when we are visiting the Harrisonburg area.

Just got home from our little get away. The cabin was wonderful! Had everything we wanted. The view waking up to from the bedroom window was breathtaking. The kitchen had everything you could need and the view from that huge picture window was beautiful! We enjoyed the large hot tub and made good use of the pool table. The weather wasn't the best and got a little chilly but the fireplace helped with that. This weekend was exactly what we needed....Beauty, relaxation and peace! Thanks Mark!

Timber Creek Falls is a beautiful place! Views of the surrounding mountains, a private waterfall…what more could you ask for?! The place is beautifully kept & well appointed. The screened in porch is like a little sanctuary where you can relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of the waterfall and surrounding natural beauty. We could even hear the waterfall while lying in bed at night - so peaceful and relaxing here. The driveway was a little rocky - but our SUV handled it well. We are grateful to have found and to have been welcomed to enjoy this beautiful place!

Man this place was perfect. Exactly what we was looking for. Way nicer in person. On the side of a mountain basically by itself. Few houses around but never seen or heard anyone. Right In between seneca rocks and seneca caverns. First time trying Airbnb and ill definitely be back. Good restaurant at seneca caverns. Take a paper map for exploring 😉. Cabin is perfect. This was an awesome stay! The one thing I’d note is to be aware that when you book it’s in a wooded area. We had a run in with a harmless snake that got in the house, but were able to take care of it pretty quickly. There were also some hornets that got in the house. Just be aware that you’re in nature. I recently stayed at a cabin rental near the Shenandoah River, and I can't recommend it highly enough! The cabin was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was absolutely beautiful, surrounded by nature and providing a spacious yard for outdoor activities. Inside, the cabin was just as spacious and inviting. After a long day of hiking, exploring, and fishing, we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. It was the perfect way to unwind! The owners were incredibly responsive and kind. The gentleman went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction, with thoughtful gestures that made our stay even more special. Overall, I loved my experience and will definitely be visiting again. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway, this is the place!

We enjoyed our stay very much. Our two girls were happy to run around the yard and play in the little playground. The house was clean, neat, and homey. The view is spectacular. The hot tub was plus. Jan even put a sign that said happy birthday for my husband. So thoughtful! thank you, Jan! Sylvia

This location was fantastic, plenty of room and things to do. Very peaceful. The host had clear directions on how to make this stay as smooth as possible, and was very communicative ! My friends and I had a fantastic time and are looking forward to revisiting sometime in the near future. Thank you.

Clean and organized place, as described

Had a great stay with our dogs. We loved the privacy with no neighbors in sight. There were lots of bees so it was a bit hard to enjoy sitting out on the deck but otherwise was great! Nice to be able to walk into Shenandoah right from the house.

Amelia’s cozy cabin packs in a lot of fun! There is something for everyone. We loved the heated screened porch, kids loved the trampoline, games, building bonfires, and cooking pizzas in the pizza oven. The well stocked kitchen was a huge bonus! The cabin is located in a great community with a variety of lovely walks and is perfectly situated for skiing at Timberline. We also spent time visiting Thomas / Davis. We had a fantastic dinner at Elender’s, afterwards we enjoyed ice cream and music at the Purple Fiddle. But what we loved most was hanging at the cabin and listening to albums. We can’t wait to return! Tips for future guests: For our next visit we will be sure to pack shampoo, soap, as we forgot but otherwise the cabin has everything you need. If you are sensitive to cats, bring allergy pills. The dander is very minimal. Amelia is a wonderful host. She is very responsive and provided lots of fun local suggestions and pizza oven cooking tips!

We stayed in this cabin over Easter weekend for 4 nights and three days, and we couldn't have been more pleased with this cabin. Our main vacations are going to cabins, so I spend a lot of time looking at properties and reading reviews and I kept coming back to this one and finally booked it. I was so glad I did! It was clean, quiet, in a beautiful location, and other than taking a drive along South Branch River Road on Easter Sunday we stayed at the cabin the whole time. My husband even said that this was probably one of the best cabins we've stayed in and would really like to return. We felt comfortable and right at home. We were also fortunate to arrive just as the Lilac bush at the corner of the porch was in full bloom and the smell was intoxicating. The back deck view and stars was just icing on the cake. This rustic, cozy cabin was the perfect spot for an impromptu weekend in the mountains for our family. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipt. It was cold outside but heating worked well! So appreciated the little conveniences provided, like dishwasher and laundry soap, paper towels & clear, easy checkout instructions. Great location in easy drive to Davis main street and skiing. Laura was a super responsive host. Would def return!

Easy to rent and get to. Everything on the first floor was wheelchair accessible for my wife. My dachshund even enjoyed the access too. Very relaxing sitting on the two porches watching the many deer. Everything was enjoyable and relaxing. Very professional workers when they contacted me to check the hot tub several times.

A rustic cabin in the woods for some R and R was what we had hoped for…and we got it! Beautiful wood beams. So nice to have a private bathroom, as well as a window unit for heat and A/C. The shared kitchen was less than 50 feet away and had all the cooking vessels, utensils and cookware to make a meal. But we loved going to cafe! Barbara and her team served up delicious meals.

My wife, 22 year old daughter, and I……along with Labrador Retriever…..had a wonderful stay. The multi-tiered deck gives a peaceful and private view of the beautiful river setting. The glass enclosed sun room in rear also gives a fantastic and bright setting/view of the river. The rooms and appliances are clean, modern, and in good working order. We enjoyed day-visits to Harper’s Ferry, Charles Town, Shepardstown, Shenandoah Park, etc. thoroughly enjoyed our stay….

Carmen was an amazing host! Her place was a great spot for a getaway right outside Shenandoah. The hot tub was very nice after a day out hiking. The kitchen was well equipped to make meals and the fire place was nice to relax beside. Bed was comfortable! Definitely a great place to stay!

Our family had the best time here! Loved the yurt! There is a creek across the street that the children played in, we fished in the pond, played baseball in the meadow, had a campfire under the stars. The beds were super comfortable, we enjoyed the privacy and the beauty of the area. We hope to go back and stay longer next time! Well appointed kitchen, super clean home, responsive host, beautiful views through the many windows, private stay yet close to activities. It’s a gem, for sure!

We booked this cabin for a two-family Easter vacation. It was just perfect! The layout was spacious and beautiful. The best parts were the well-stocked kitchen (I made a 7 course Easter feast plus dessert), the comfortable and enclosed porch, and the general outdoors! The kids had so much fun hunting all around the yard and surrounding woods for their eggs and the adults had plenty of spaces to sit around a fire, relax in the hot tub, or enjoy some family games. We would absolutely book again!

Buck's Run was a beautiful cabin tucked away in the Shenandoah. It was a peaceful getaway for my friends and we enjoyed lounging about playing board games, reading, soaking in the hot tub, and staring out into the woods as the snow fell. Jen was very proactive in making sure we were going to be ok with the incoming storm and Pete their local manager was very responsive with questions we had.

What a fantastic weekend! This cabin was so sweet, in a peaceful and beautiful location, close to the river, with chickens, tons of birds, our own little porch cat, and kayaks and canoes available at any time. It is also in the perfect location to visit Luray Caverns and Shenandoah. The cabin was comfortable, well stocked, and the fresh eggs were delicious. Owners are very responsive. Highly recommend!

Having stayed at several air bnbs in WV I can easily say this is hands down the best one. The vibe of the house is immaculate. Rooms are large and impeccably decorated. The porch areas are all perfect and the whole place has an amazing blend of rustic and refined decor. Highly recommend
