We had a great time at the baker's house, it is in a great location to visit the Sassi di Matera. Also Cosimo was very kind and helpful, in Matera there was a problem with the water pipes and he took care to bring us water tanks so we didn't run out. We will definitely recommend, thank you!

What more could we have asked for in a romantic weekend getaway?! Marilisa and Raffaele are amazing hosts who had everything prepared for our arrival. They were extremely helpful and attentive to our needs and wants. Located about 30 minutes away from Matera and about 50 minutes from Taranto, Laterza is the perfect mid point for a mountain/beach weekend. If you don’t want to travel much outside the area, Laterza itself is a beautiful city to soak in as well. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and will definitely stay here again!!!

Modest with teensy kitchen, minimally outfitted, teensy washer, lots of storage for clothes, comfy bed, more spacious than a hotel room. Secure gated space for car tight, but more than adequate. Six minute drive to Mattera old town parking, five-minute walk to little local convenience store with best ever Buffalo Mozzarella and a little meat counter. Other amenities close by. Host charming, attentive, happy to answer any questions and make recommendations. For a couple of nights for a really good price, was great find. Thank you Emanuele.

We had a great stay in this beautiful, unique dwelling! Everything was perfect, we checked in late at night which wasn't an issue to the host. The apartment was spacious and airy, located within a walkable distance of the centre of Matera. We were able to park nearby in a multistory next street for about €15/day (thanks to the host for the recommendation!).

a magnificent historic property fully modernized. immediate parking. perfectly centered and walkable everywhere, pharmacy, dentist, city hall and of course the Patisseries and fabulous restaurants. Fabi is a gracious and responsive host. I'll be back for certain.

I'm very, very satisfied The house was so clean and it was a convenient structure to organize my luggage, the house was warm, and the hot water came out well. It was also close to the ruins, so I was able to walk. It was the most pleasant place to stay in Italy

If we ever come back to Matera, I would want to stay here again. It's in the Sasso Caveoso, but close enough to the modern city that parking is easy in a nearby garage (totally worth paying for). Our hostess gave us the address of the parking garage, and we met her there on day one and she walked us to the apartment. I loved this extra personal attention and hospitality. That alone made our stay nice. But the apartment - Wow - bigger than the photos showed, with great views, a nice spacious bathroom with an excellent shower, comfortable bed, and close to great sights and restaurants. Also it is quiet and very private with the cutest entrance and even a friendly neighborhood cat (bring cat treats if you're a cat person). Brava, Marcella and thank you.

There are people and people. Anita, our host, belongs by right to the second category: immediately friendly, welcoming and professional, everything is easy with her. The house is perfect for groups, comfortable, clean and relaxing. Anita puts that "plus" that really makes the difference between a place and "your home": impossible to remain indifferent to all this, kindness before everything else. 😊

Petra and her husband welcomed us into their beautiful little house, really well cared for in every detail. They gave us a lot of advice and were helpful and friendly. The house is then located right next to a very good braceria recommended by the owners. We were also offered a great breakfast. Convenient location for touring Matera, Gravina and Bari.

We had a wonderful stay at Luciana, everything was as expected and more! The room is very spacious and clean, you are in the heart of Matera with stunning view from the balcony and walking distances to all main attractions/restaurants. Breakfast excellent, served on the balcony. And as for walking, Luciana explained to us each part of the old town on a map, so we don’t miss anything :). Also helped a lot before arriving with bus schedules and tips. There are a lot to say, but we felt like being home, in a wonderful place.

I loved the location! It was central to everything and perfect as I wanted to be near friends of mine and this place was just around the corner from them. The host was very responsive and checked in with me during my 4 days there to ask if I needed anything. It’s very unusual to have to go outside and downstairs to get to the kitchen with a separate key but I found this place to be very charming and plan to return next year if possible.

My daughter was very satisfied with her place. The hosts treated him like their own daughter, they were very warm, available and welcoming. Emanuele and Marilena and their daughter are really nice people. The studio is very pretty, bright, functional and pleasant. It's well placed and the value for money is great. I hope to be able to go myself someday . Matera is a beautiful and very touristy city, there are many things to see and do and the studio is in a great location. I really recommend this place 100%!

The location is convenient near downtown and tucked in the sassi with a very nice view, Monica is very friendly, she explained which places to visit and served us a very delicious and complete breakfast. I recommend it

I just spent an unforgettable weekend in Matera, staying in a wonderful B&B immersed in the beautiful Murgia, and I can't wait to go back! The property, an ancient tannery expertly renovated, is a perfect balance between history and modern comfort. Every corner tells a story, with details that make you feel part of the tradition of this enchanting corner of Basilicata. The atmosphere you can breathe is unique, quiet and immersed in nature, a real retreat to regenerate. The room was cozy, elegant and equipped with every comfort, but what impressed me the most was the attention to detail and the harmony with the surrounding environment. Breakfast prepared with fresh ingredients and typical of the area, authentic flavors that make you appreciate the beauty of the area even more. The hospitality was impeccable, Martino was super helpful, always ready to offer advice on what to see and do nearby. I'll definitely be back in the summer.

The place is a jewel - beautiful beyond belief and Anna and Salvatore have style and generosity to match! I hope to come back again soon, and feel I have made two friends.
