“The tranquil bush retreat is no exaggeration. A lovely place to stay and the bush baby bar is a nice place to rest your bones in the evening. We had the chance to go on safari with Andrew to the okavango delta and moremi. What an unforgettable experience. Andrew lives next door and is a very easy going human being with great knowledge of the bush. But above all the man has beautiful hair. Thank you for making our stay in Botswana an unforgettable one.”

“Perfect place to stay when en route to the north of Botswana. The place is exactly as described. We took a day trip to Moremi from the South Gate which is about a 2 hr drive from Maun. We were able to cook breakfast both days and also dinner on our first night there. Nice and clean and we felt safe and welcome there.”
Come and experience a most unique and beautiful guesthouse in the Okavango Delta, a 35 minute drive from Maun. Situated on a magnificent island, enjoy true, rural Botswana on a little boutique chilli farm. Where people and wildlife coexist, enjoy beautiful birds and totally reconnect with a wild place again.
“Sophie and her husband Adrian have created a magical oasis at the gateway to the Okavango Delta, and my five nights here were a blissful and nature-rich highlight of my holiday. They offer driving, walking and canoe (Mokoro) safaris in the adjacent areas of the Okavango, and in my first day (game drive) I saw more types of animals than I had seen in three days of Serengeti exploring (including lions, buffalo, rhino, giraffes, zebra, hyenas, wildebeest, elephants and hippos). Plus it’s practically a private area all for yourself, and Adrian knows it extremely well and is a pleasant, knowledgeable and patient guide. His respect for the wildlife and the area shines through, and he helped me enjoy the safari aspect of my trip immensely. As with all such environments, be prepared for a fair amount of insects and heat, but the farm is built to handle this, and is a wonderfully self-sufficient and organic space, respecting the surroundings. If you’re willing to do without some of the pre-packaged, ultra-managed luxury that most of the Okavango resorts offer, I think you’ll be very pleasantly surprised by this farm, and you’ll get to truly enjoy the amazing wildlife that this special spot of earth has to offer.”
