A licensed clean cozy convenient micro studio + private bathroom and entrance - easy self check-in, free parking, full-sized bed (54" x 75", fits a solo or slim duo), near downtown, VIU, schools, hospital, sports arenas, ferries, 4 bus routes nearby, embraced by beautiful parks and trails, pretty mountain view. drive 5 mins or walk 20 mins to downtown/waterfront/VIU, drive 10 mins to Departure Bay. Tip: book multiple nights to save on cleaning, as it is charged once per booking.

Oceanfront Home - 1bdr Suite is a separate space.

South facing, sheltered from most of the wind, walk-on oceanfront in the city! Large deck, Solarium, Hot-tub, Kayaks and stunning views (Brandon Islands, Newcastle Island Provincial Park, Birds, Seals, Otters, Boats, Fisheries Canada docks). Swim, Paddle board, Kayak, Beach comb, Picnic or just relax - beside the salt water and a patch of old forest. Nanaimo is centrally located, permitting day trips to Vancover, Victoria and even Tofino. Luke (myself) reside in the suite.

We are located in a nice, friendly neighbourhood, and are happy to offer a safe and comfortable space for you to enjoy a little piece of paradise. Your room has a covered entry and is accessed by 4 outside steps. You will have your own private washroom with a tub and shower, outdoor seating space, and free parking. Owners live upstairs. Washer/dryer available for longer stays. No pets.

The Vine and the Fig Tree studio

Welcome to a few days of relaxing. You're at the beach in 5 minutes or just step out the door to the forest. Sleep in, order a pizza and play a board game by the cozy woodstove. Put on your best duds for a dinner date down by the ocean. Maybe a fire in the backyard with a cup of cocoa? Full bathroom and everything you need for a tea or coffee and light breakfast. Mini fridge and microwave. Please note there is no kitchen and we live on the property with our blue heeler.

Modern Farmhouse with Mountain View

Karmix Cottage was fully updated in 2022 and sits on 5 fenced acres, surrounded by sprawling pastures, old growth trees and epic views of Mt. Moriarty and Mt. Arrowsmith. Enjoy full privacy in the well-stocked cottage while enjoying the tranquility of rural life close to town. The cottage is 4 minutes away from a major grocery store and Oceanside Arena. We are very close to the famous Parksville beaches and the highway to Tofino.

The Hideout

We have updated The Hideout and look forward to welcoming the world back at the end of summer 2025!! The Hideout grew from a vision we had when we moved to the Coast in 2020. With the desire to share our dream of living amongst the trees, tucked away from the world, The Hideout was created. Wrapped in hand milled cedar, fir and hemlock this space was designed to remind us to slow down, breathe deep and take it all in.

Ten foot ceilings and plenty of natural light make this walkout basement suite feel bright, airy and open. A king size bed, 55” smart TV, and Nespresso machine add a touch of luxury to this fun, livable space. The suite is located 5 minutes off the highway and 2 minutes from West Coast General Hospital in a quiet residential neighbourhood - no loud music or partying is allowed at any time.
