“We couldn't have asked for more from Deirdre's stunning country house. It was exactly as described, a peaceful country setting near the village of Moyvane. We were visitingfamily so didn't need to explore the sights but it is a great base for exploring both Kerry and Limerick. The accommodation itself is very modern and very tastefully decorated. It has a great lawn with a picnic bench which if the weather had allowed we would have enjoyed it more. Deirdre had thought of everything and had all we needed for cooking, great wifi, lots of tv channels including a lot for kids, dvds, books and board games. We are only sorry we hadn't booked for longer. Deirdre was always at the end of a message if we need her. Would highly recommend.”
Great vacation rental in Kerry where you will be assured of a warm Irish Welcome from Betty and John. Come and enjoy the Kerry craic! (Craic is the Irish word for fun!) On 3/4 of an acre, the all level accommodation and suitable for persons with limited mobility and wheelchair users. Free WiFi.
“Our second time staying at John and Betty’s place and it was just as good as the first! John is a very friendly host who will go out of his way to be an ambassador for Listowel and Ireland. He accompanied us to pubs, showed us the best places, even contacted a relative (4th cousin I had never met) and arranged for us to meet. But if doing it yourself is what you want, he’ll accommodate that. The house is fairly new, immaculate, and beautifully furnished. Amenities were perfect, including a basket of food, coffee, tea and milk! Distance to the center of town is walkable, but Betty or John often gave us rides and/or arranged taxis.”
This delightful stone cottage offers ideal accommodation for a family who wish to explore this part of the Emerald Isle. Tarbert offers shops, pubs and the ferry terminal for the Shannon crossing to County Clare. The area offers walking routes and the popular coastal town of Ballybunion, which has sandy beaches is within easy reach. Also within driving distance is the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, Lahinch, the Killarney National Park and the Dingle Peninsula. A lovely County Kerry cottage.
“Lovely cottage in a quiet, elevated area with vistas of the River Shannon, ability to go on long walks and with many nearby attractions such as Ballybunion (the beach, the cliffs, seaside activities), Tarbert (with its Bridewell Museum), Foynes (with its Foynes Flying Boat Museum), Listowell (where they have one of the best (and free) castle tours) and not far from Limerick, Kilarney, etc. Take the ferry from Tarbert for a visit to Kilrush, a fishing village with a lovely acquapark in quay. Hosts were warm, friendly with great history of the cottage and the area provided upon arrival.”
