The Space
It’s the dream sports weekend every Toronto sports fan has been waiting for.
Imagine taking in a Toronto Maple Leafs game against the Montreal Canadiens on January 23, 2016, staying overnight in a customized private suite at Air Canada Centre, and watching a Toronto Raptors game against Los Angeles the next day. Now imagine you also get to hang out with a Toronto sports legend, arrive in style, chill out in a private suite, and then sleep over.
Well, stop dreaming, because Airbnb is about to make your sports dream a reality!
On January 23, one lucky winner and their guest will head straight to Air Canada Centre ice to meet the host, Hockey Hall of Fame inductee and former Toronto Maple Leafs captain, Doug Gilmour. Next you’ll check into your customized Airbnb suite, which includes a private balcony overlooking the lower bowl, before heading down for a Real Sports Apparel shopping spree with Dougie.
Once you’re showered, styled and fed, it’s time to enjoy the Maple Leafs pre-Game experience. You’ll watch the team warm up from the penalty box before taking in the game that night as the Leafs face the Montreal Canadiens just as they did on their very first home game at Air Canada Centre more than 15 years ago. Of course you’ll have the opportunity to wish the boys luck before taking in the game from your platinum ice-level seats when you personally send each player off in the Maple Leafs Tunnel as they head out on the ice.
Afterwards, you’ll attend Head Coach Mike Babcock's post-game press conference to hear from the man in charge. You’ll want to head to bed after because tomorrow is a big day – not only will you watch the Raptors gameday shoot around, you’ll also watch them take on the Clippers in courtside seats before wrapping up your stay.
Are you the biggest Maple Leafs and Raptors fan? Tell us why and what it would mean to you to stay overnight at Air Canada Centre. Simply enter to win by 11:59 p.m. ET on 12/15/15. This experience is open to GTA residents.
No placing loonies under centre ice.
Anyone caught cheering for the Habs will answer to Carlton.

Your homework prior to arriving is to memorize the lyrics to The Good Ol’ Hockey Game.
No skates on the hardwood.
Help yourself to anything in the fridge, but please don’t touch the pucks in the freezer.

Expulsion from the game cancels the tickets for the offending individual(s) and the individual(s) thereupon forfeit(s) all claims with respect to the tickets. Participation in the Prize is subject to compliance with all applicable laws, by-laws, regulations and any applicable facility or carrier rules; failure to comply may result in non-admission or expulsion from further participation in the Prize.
The Prize must be accepted as awarded, without substitution, and is not transferrable, refundable, for resale or convertible to cash. The Contest Sponsor and Prize Supplier reserve the right, in the event that the Prize, or any component of the Prize, cannot be awarded as described for any reason, to substitute the same for another prize or component of equal or greater value, without notice or liability. In the event that a substitute prize is awarded, such prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be exchanged for cash or otherwise.
The odds of winning a Prize will depend on the number of eligible Entries received during the Contest Period and the quality of the Entry submitted (as further outlined below).
WINNER SELECTION: Following the conclusion of the Contest Period, all eligible Entries received during the Contest Period will be judged by a panel of judges chosen by the Contest Sponsor, at the offices of the Contest Sponsor, in order to select the potential Grand Prize Winner.
Criteria for selection of the potential Grand Prize Winner will include:
(i)(50%) Originality and creativity: Does the Entry surprise and delight the judges?
(ii)(30%) Team spirit: Does the submission tell a compelling story about how the Toronto Maple Leafs and/or the Toronto Raptors have had an impact on your life or about what winning the event would mean to you?
(iii)(20%) Quality of expression: Is the Entry well written or emotionally moving?
The potential Winner will be the Entrant with the highest rankings based on the above criteria.
Following selection by the panel of judges, the Selected Entrant will be contacted by the Contest Sponsor on or about January 11, 2016 at the email address or telephone number indicated on his/her Contest Entry Form. If a Selected Entrant cannot be contacted or does not respond to the Contest Sponsor within forty-eight (48) hours of the first attempt of contact by the Contest Sponsor, he/she will be considered to have forfeited his/her Prize and will be disqualified and another Entrant may be selected, in the sole discretion of the Contest Sponsor, from the remaining eligible Entries until such time as contact is made with each Selected Entrant, there are no more eligible Entries, or there is insufficient time to award the Prize, whichever comes first (in which case the above-noted Winner Selection process will apply to such alternate Entrant- i.e. the next highest ranked Entry will be selected). The Contest Sponsor will not be responsible for failed attempts to contact any Selected Entrant.
No telephone contact in association with the Contest will be entered into except with the Selected Entrant.
CLAIMING YOUR PRIZE
To be declared a winner (“Winner”), the Selected Entrant must answer correctly, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a mathematical skill-testing question posed by the Contest Sponsor in a format of its choosing. The Selected Entrant and his/her guest (or if such guest is under eighteen (18) years of age, the legal guardian of such guest) will also be required to sign a Declaration, Release and Waiver Form (the “Release Form”) confirming compliance with the Official Rules, acceptance of the Prize as awarded, without substitution, and releasing the Released Parties from any liability in connection with the Prize or the Contest before being granted his/her Prize.
If a Selected Entrant does not meet all of the Contest requirements, fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question or does not sign and return the Release Form to the Contest Sponsor within the time frame provided, that Selected Entrant will forfeit his/her Prize and the Contest Sponsor shall be entitled (but not obligated) to select another Entrant from the remaining eligible Entries until such time as contact is made with an Entrant or there are no more eligible Entries, whichever comes first (in which case the above-noted Winner Selection process will apply to such alternate Entrant- i.e. the next highest ranked Entry will be selected). This process may continue until the Prize has been awarded or there is insufficient time to permit the awarding of the Prize. The Contest Sponsor is not responsible, whether as a result of human error or otherwise, for any failure to contact any Selected Entrant.
As a condition to being awarded the prize, the Contest Sponsor may, with the prior consent of a Selected Entrant that has correctly answered the skill-testing question and signed the Release Form and such Selected Entrant’s proposed guest, conduct a background check on the Selected Entrant and his/her proposed guest. If a background check reveals that a Selected Entrant or his/her proposed guest has engaged in conduct that could damage the reputation or business of Contest Sponsor, the Selected Entrant may be disqualified and the prize may be awarded to an alternate Winner, time permitting, or the Selected Entrant may be required to select an alternate guest.
The Contest Sponsor will contact the Winner following receipt of his/her signed Release Form to arrange for delivery of his/her Prize.

About the Host, Doug
Hi, I’m Doug Gilmour. I played 20 seasons in the National Hockey League, and enjoyed the best years of my career in Toronto. It was with the Leafs that I broke franchise records for assists and points, and team scoring during the 1993 Stanley Cup Playoffs. I won a Stanley Cup with the Calgary Flames and played in two All-Star Games before I retired in 2003.
I retired from the game as a player on a high note but hockey continues to play a huge role in my life, as I’m currently the General Manager the Kingston Frontenacs! I’m thrilled to host you at Air Canada Centre - my former home and home of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors.
