The perfect place to be in the woods, but not isolated. Cook your meals in the nearby cookhouse (40’ away, unheated) on a camp stove or over an open campfire. A heated bathroom/shower is 20’ away. Silver Moon at The Appleton Retreat is quite private, check out the Trail Map. This contemporary yurt features a private therapeutic hot tub on the wrap around deck, a fire pit, and fast wifi. Silver Moon is located in a wooded area close to a bog that attracts a variety of wildlife. The Appleton Retreat encompasses 120 acres hosting six unique retreats. To the south is the Pettengill Stream, a resource protected area. To the north is the Nature Conservancy's 1300 acre reserve.

We are 15 minutes away from New Paltz, NY, and mere minutes away from the Shawngunk Mountains in the bucolic Hudson Valley.

A 5-minute walk away, our yurts offer the most beautiful view of the Saguenay Fjord, very luxurious, they are equipped with a propane oven and fridge, solar-powered electricity, hot water 22 liters per hour and shower (in summer) and water is provided in winter. Bedding is provided as well as all cooking equipment. The yurt is equipped with a tank toilet, you will also find outhouses outside. Wood heating, wood provided. Real luxury camping!
