Beachfront vacation rentals in Northampton County

We had a wonderful week staying close to Cape Charles with our young kids. We loved being right on the water, super easy to drop our kayaks and paddle out. The rental team was responsive, and it was nice to have an after hours contact by text if we found we needed anything.

Thanks for having us. We had a great time. The house has it wonderful charm. Kids loved fishing at the marina.

We had such a great stay! Awesome layout and a great use of space in the home. Everything was clean and several conveniences were cared for (books, games, beach chairs and beach towels, etc.) Just one block from the beach and a short walking distance to the park and to restaurants/shops. The host was very responsive and kind. And - the milkshake machine was so much fun for the kids!

We loved our stay at Wild Blue! The listing is exactly correct - a tiny house with plenty of room. While a single bathroom for 4 people is tight, the outdoor shower was great. The kitchen is tiny but we are out a lot so it wasn’t an issue. I will say that the ceilings are short so if someone is over 6’ this WILL be a problem. Overall the location was perfect and we had a great time.

Cute little place just blocks from the beach! Downtown is right around the corner and easily walkable. For folks with mobility issues, be aware that the interior stairs are very steep. We navigated them fine. Also, remember this is a duplex so there might be someone next to you. Our weekend neighbors were pleasant and friendly. Great stay!

Beautiful house in a wonderful setting but you only get a beach at low tide. You also must walk about 100 yards out through 1 foot deep water to get to the sandbar. The sandbar beach lasts for about four hours. New fun games in the garage and lots of beach chairs were available. We enjoyed this place and the house has everything you could ask for but wish we knew about the low tide only sandbar beach.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Doug's place for the week. The house was laid out very well for the family of 10. We normally go to the Southeastern NC beaches for our annual vacation, but now we know that we can also have a great time at the Bay, lodging at Doug's lovely home.

The Clark Construction team enjoyed the offsite bonding, efficiency, and great Cape Charles fishery with local guide Clint Lessard on Sho-Nuf Charters. Great time all around and plenty of fish were caught. Hoping to return next year. The Coastal Soul AirBnB was immaculate. Perfect setup for multiple people, well appointed kitchen and seating areas, and great hosts. Thankful for all involved.

Blue Belle was a fun and roomy place to spend a long weekend with our family! It’s in a great area and was easy to get anywhere you wanted to go in Cape Charles. We rented a golf cart but it wasn’t in the best of shape. That’s not Doug’s fault but that of the rental company. Therefore, we didn’t really use it as much as we would have liked. Doug was prompt in getting the washing machine repaired and it was needed. Our granddaughters enjoyed playing the ring on a string game on the back porch and walk to the beach nearby. I recommend staying here!

Charming Cape Charles getaway! I was so happy to find this gem and even more thrilled when I arrived. From the beautiful landscape of the gated community, to the southern charm of this glorious suite…I wanted for nothing. This enormous suite has all the comforts of home and the location was spectacular. The property offered not only a private beach on the bay , a community pool, a beautiful well maintained golf course, it was also a short drive to the charming town of Cape Charles. Dawn offered endless advice to her favorite restaurants, activities to do and places to see while we visited. She was just a text or call away if I needed anything. Her hospitality was beyond measure. I look forward to coming back.

The house was absolutely perfect. Very comfy and clean. Smith Beach has been my family’s vacation spot for 70+ years. We’ve gotten to rent a few different cottages over the years and have always loved them. We’ve been renting the cottage that Joseph now owns and we have loved staying there the past 3 years. It’s been very cool to see all the new personal touches to the cottage and also all of the neat home upgrades Joseph and the previous owners have done. Joseph was quick to respond to all of my messages and was able to answer all of my questions very kindly and professionally. This was my first Airbnb experience and he made our stay extremely special. His home was very cozy and clean. My sons and I have already booked our stay back at Joseph’s Smith Beach home for next July 2025. Thank you again Joe! -Joey, Justin and Jack

Amazing home and perfect location. Centrally located to everything Cape Charles. Beautifully decorated and overall wonderful accommodations. Would rent this home again. Host Doug is super responsive and helpful.

The Tiny House was the perfect getaway! The beach was very private. The Sunsets were just gorgeous! Our Host Christi went above and beyond to make us feel right at home.All I really needed to bring was myself and my clothes. She had everything we needed. She told me how to get to a really cool antique shop. It was awesome! I can't say enough good things about Christi. She was an amazing Host and extremely helpful! Her place is truly a Hidden Gem! Thank you Christi!

We loved this quiet and extremely peaceful stay! The views were beyond gorgeous. The tiny home was perfect for us two and enjoying our time together. Loved the recommendations she personally sent us. GET THE CHARCUTERIE BOARD! 15/10! Exceeded our slow paced, few day stay!

Erin's beach house was a piece of paradise!! Erin was responsive! My kids loved the beach and relaxing in the sunroom! We enjoyed our stay and would love to come back in the warmer months!!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was spacey, beautiful and perfect for families with kids. Daisy was extremely responsive and kind. The beach was only a 35-40 minute drive and we just had a really great vacation staying here. Would highly recommend.

This place never disappoints. It has great views and sunsets, is quiet, and has lots to do within just a few minutes. Communication with the host is easy, and there is a seamless check in and out procedure. The house is very accommodating, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. After a few years of of coming here on an annual trip in the fall...we hope to return!
