This brand new lake front cottage is super comfortable, with polished concrete floors, kitchen, air-conditioning and large lounge area. The deck is perfect to sit back and relax whilst overlooking the lake.
“The cottage was really clean and well kept. Simple personal touches made the property feel really comfortable. The views are just stunning despite the devastations of the bush fires that have affected the lands and homes at Lake Conjola. The sunrise on the lake is just stunning where you can view it from inside the cottage or right on the lake which is right outside the cottage. Would highly recommend staying here to anyone wanting to get away to south coast.”
The historical gardener’s cottage is part of Merigan farm, located 15 mins from Bungendore, and situated in the homestead grounds. The grounds include a clay tennis court and bocce court, the use of which is available for your use. DOG Friendly. Please note that the Merigan Homestead complex is down a 3 kms dirt road. After rain sometimes the road can be slippery and rutted but we do maintain it and if you travel slowly there are no problems with most vehicles.
“DIVINE - is just one word that describes MERRIGAN Cottage. It's like the cute little cottage out of the movie "THE HOLIDAY", Jude Law was no where to be seen, but it was still so amazing. I needed a digital detox and with no TV, limited phone coverage and sketchy wifi signal it really is the place to go to unwind and just relax in nature. Beautiful walks around this historic farm with use of the Tennis Court, Bocce, Lawns.......you can certainly find a special place to just sit down with a wine and book and forget about the hustle and bustle. The cottage itself is fully equipped with everything you need including a bed that you would be hard pressed to find in a 5 star hotel - BLISS. The highlight apart from the hospitality would have to of been the resident female Border Collie SHAKA having 9 puppies this morning. !!!! Her very proud partner ARLO was prancing around with such a big grin. My dogs loved the space and freedom and got on well with the house dogs. Its a beautiful space for both human and dogs......if you love historic houses, gorgeous gardens, warm hospiltality and that little getaway that no one else knows about , this is it! I look forward to going back at different times of the year to see the change of colours. Thanks Tim and team - You have created a gem. Diana”
