“Top notch place in every way! Great home base in Oliver! PRO- Clean place with nice linens; Comfy bed; great kitchen with nice utensils, cookware, and dish ware; Comfy living area with plenty of seating, lighting, and entertainment; Wonderful bath setup; 5-10 minute walk to Oliver shops and restaurants; Nice private outdoor patio with nice views; Maureen super responsive with lots of tips. CON- Like so many AirBnBs, the place is in the downstairs below the main floor of the house. Noise level is quite low and MUCH quieter than most other downstairs units we have stayed in.”
Located in the Sunny South Okanagan, with a back drop of desert rolling hills. Please join us for a hands on farm experience. We have a country market filled with farm fresh produce. Collect your own eggs for breakfast. You can pick your own fresh pesticide free produce. We offer several tenting sites. Which means you bring your own tent. View us on Facebook as well www.facebook.com/HillsideOrchardsUPickFarmMarket for more farm information.
“Our stay was much better than expected! The tenting area is a nicely mowed grassy area at the base of a rocky hillside, providing welcome shade at the end of a hot day. There are flush toilets and showers provided, plus a barbecue with propane, picnic tables, and even a lantern. PLUS! Heide invited us to make use of the produce in the fields, whatever we could reasonably eat, so we added tomato and red pepper to our dinner and snacked on fresh picked plums and peaches. Very unexpected but welcome perk! My boys loved it. Lots of animals to talk to, especially friendly goats and playful chickens, plus a very affectionate cat. They also enjoyed climbing the mountain. There was only one other family while we were there, making for a peaceful experience. We were just stopping for one night on our way back to the coast, but I would definitely return. This is a lovely family farm (owned since 1952!) and the pride of place is clear. I also appreciated learning bits and pieces of the challenges of running a working farm.”
All natural setting cabin made with wood, designed by late Architect Henry Yorke Mann. No sound interference , beautiful view, quiet setting. Basic necessities, bed, sink, bathroom with shower. Pets ok but please do not leave pet unattended in cabin or outside. There is a BBQ and a couple of chairs for sitting, with privacy and spectacular views.
“We stayed at the place only for one night but we would have loved to stay for longer. This beautiful and quiet little cottage is located in the middle of nowhere and is perfect for people who want to have some distance from their busy everyday lives. The place is equipped with basic amenities and the shared BBQ is great, especially as there is no real kitchen in the cottage. Thanks for a great stay!”
