  • Kayak on the Lovely Cayuga Seneca Canal
It’s a beautiful time to be out in nature. We can maintain property distancing while enjoying everything the canal has to offer. We will meet at Canalside Experiences, (706 waterloo Geneva Road) and then take a 1.5 hour paddle of the Cayuga-Seneca Canal, an extension of the Erie Canal, that connects Seneca and Cayuga Lakes. Along the way we will look for local wildlife .... bald eagles are a possibility, along with hunting Osprey, Great Blue Heron, and a variety of sparrows, swallows and warblers. Beavers are resident along the canal and we will see evidence of their work. This is one of my favorite places to paddle and I look forward to showing it to you! If you don't see a time that is agreeable to you, get in touch with me and we can try to meet at a time that is good for you! Other things to note I have over 20 years kayaking and paddleboarding. The waters are calm with very little boat traffic. Its a great way to see the Finger Lakes! You don't need any kayak experience to join but it's preferred if guests are comfortable around the water and can swim or float comfortably in the water. -CPR/First Aid Certified

  • Couples Ceramics and Welding Art Class
This two-hour experience at Hot Art Studios includes one piece of pottery and one sculpture (or two pots if you chose to only do ceramics). I teach you three basic hand movements that helps you make a very useful and beautiful pot almost instantly. Then, you can throw as many additional pots as you’d like for $10/each. Many visitors make a dozen pieces to supplement their everyday pottery items. The pottery process takes about a month to complete. Shipping costs are based on the number of pieces. Our welding experience uses MIG and Oxy-Acetylene in my wood stove heated welding studio. We discuss a concepts and then I supervise you forging and welding the basic shapes and then add the details that make your sculpt a one of a kind work of art. As you explore these two art forms, two hours may not be enough time. Some artists have stayed 4 hours to complete their projects. I’ll stay with you to help complete a build and ask for a $60 per hour, (Billed at $1 per minute) add on fee for my time and studio costs after the first 2.5 hours. Finally, we do our paperwork while your sculpture cools. I give you a goody bag filled with fun stuff, take a picture of you with your sculpt and email you pictures and videos I took of you during your experience. Then you take your sculpture and newfound artist mojo and a month or so later, get a box of pottery spectacularness!!

You will be greeted with a soft drink as you get acquainted with me and hear a brief history of my life in the bustling metropolis of Accra, Ghana in the 80's. Using a blend of local and imported ingredients, we will prep and cook two items: an appetizer and a main dish on which we would have consulted prior. We will sit down to eat this meal after and share your stories of growing up. If desired, we can include a trip to the African Market prior to prepping and cooking. Other things to note If you have food/spice sensitivities please communicate with me ahead of time so we can accommodate you. Aprons are provided .

  • Jeep / Wine & Photo Tour
We start by meeting at the former "Eleven Lake Winery" parking lot. Then we depart towards our adventure in my very cool Jeep Wrangler and we will drive thru very scenic routes and breathtaking views of Cayuga Lake. We will stop at a special place that I know and I can take pictures with my Nikon Camera , that I will later send to you. I am a skilled photographer and you will be pleased with outcome of the photos. These photos are included, they are part of the Adventure. We will stop at four of my favorite wineries , where you can taste the local award winning wines. These wines are made from high-quality grapes to honey & fruits. You can try different wine from dry reds to bubbly to Rieslings and more! We will be visiting four wineries located on the west side of Cayuga lake. I will provide plenty of water and snacks in the jeep, but any other beverages may be purchased by the guest. My goal is to provide an unforgettable and safe experience! After visiting the wineries we'll begin our journey back to the original parking lot. Other things to note You don"t have to worry about drinking and driving, that's what we're here for. All pictures are complimentary of the road trip!
