We had a lovely stay at Peter’s cottage. Despite his help and pins sent, we ended up calling Gabriel to confirm we were on the right track. After the huge amounts of rain, the last bit down to the cottage was a true challenge. Mud and previous cars had destroyed the road at some parts. So even in a strong 4wd Land Cruiser this was not pleasant. Again Gabriel helped us out. But once we arrived at the cottage, that was all worth it. What a gem! Great location, cosy and clean with nice places to sit around the house as well. Peter’s staff took very good care of us. They made the fire, cleaned and helped us with whatever request. Michael walked us around the tea fields and the forest (we preferred the first with wonderful sceneries). I would certainly recommend Peter’s place with the remark it might be more convenient (less stressful) to travel outside the rainy season.

On arrival we were welcomed by Raymond & Kendi at the front. Once signed in Kendi directed us to the tent and assisted with the luggage. Upon the first few days the team and especially Maggie and Anthony made us feel welcomed and were attentive to every need. The location is beautiful, peaceful and welcoming. The local wildlife is also there to make you welcome, they will make some sounds in the night but don’t fear as the security measures in this place are top notch. Peter and Eric are great at helping prepare your rooms for the evening and are great guides to take you around the grounds in the evening ensuring your safety. You can go for a local hike, ask for Isaac Mwangi as he’s a local database. Finally Betty and her cohost were amazing, responsive and very proactive making for a stellar experience. I can’t wait to go back.

Just returned from a short stay at the Grey Cottage. Had a lovely and relaxing time with family. Great place to stay and calm neighbourhood while still very accessible to amenities. Very easy to locate, clean and well equiped cottage. Mukami is a great host making sure we were always as comfortable as could be... treated as good a family. Would recommend for a family or individual looking for some quiet time. Thank you, Mukami, and hope to return soon.

.Les explications de Chelsea sont claires et l'accueil est vraiment chaleureux ! Une maison spacieuse et originale, meublée avec beaucoup de goût. La cuisine est très bien équipée. Le jardin est magnifique ainsi que la grande pièce extérieure. Nous avons passé un moment très enrichissant auprès de Linus, et des parents de Chelsea. Donc un lieu magique avec des gens charmants, c'est parfait !

We had a wonderful stay. A remarkable house, in a wonderful setting, more beautiful than the photographs suggest. This is a great place to 'chill' and to explore the local area. The house is stylish, clean and well equipped and the views from the upper story rooms are stunning. Sharon and the local team were attentive and most helpful, from the initial tour of the farm to the provision of all sorts of wonderful fresh vegetables from the garden. They also arranged a trip and short walk to the Mau Mau caves (do this through them and a local ranger can meet you at the house), and although the track up the mountain, to the cave, proved interesting in the 'wet mud' we were blessed with glorious sunshine on the top, along with pristine forest, wild grassy meadows and Colobus monkeys! Definitely worth the effort. More than anything we loved quiet evenings by the fire, either inside or with the firepit on the patio. This is an extraordinary place and highly recommended!

10/10, this place is very beautiful in a quiet serene area with nice views. Looks even better in person, don’t hesitate, had a wonderful time here. Hot water, good wifi, nice balcony, all essentials as well. Jenny is also a wonderful host, she responded very quickly and any queries I had were tended too. Thank you for hosting me Jennny.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay with Prisca and her family, our children could play all over the compound with trampolines and toys to borrow and swim in the wonderful pool. We feel right at home and will never forget their help and accommodation when we had car trouble and came in very late in the rain. Thank you for everything and hope to see you again!
