A typical Dutch colonial house with three floors, and garden, located in the historical center of Paramaribo (UNESCO World Heritage, with buildings from the XVII y XVIII centuries) within walking distance of most of the touristic sights in Paramaribo.
“This home is very charming & about 10 minutes walking to the center. WiFi worked great and the fan was enough to keep cool. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there - she went above & beyond in every way. She and her daughter are lovely to spend time with, and she is an amazing cook!! They were extremely helpful in providing local tips & helping find things around town. It was just an overall fabulous stay made even better by the family. I recommend staying there - you will not regret it!”
15 meters from main road, Indian, Chinese, Javanese restaurants within walking distance. Ideal for students and backpackers. Entrance at side of the house. From downtown you can take the bus 1 or 8 to reach here, tell the driver you want to get off at the school S.P.I., the street is right across the gym of S.P.I. From here you can take bus 9 to go to downtown. A taxi will usually charge SRD 20.
“I am an online teacher so I need good internet, with an ethernet cable I was able to teach 4-6 hours most days at his house no problem, so for any remote workers this is an ideal spot. I was at the back of the house with my own, small kitchen, shower and bedroom with a desk, amazing value for money. Ravin and I cooked and ate together numerous times, shared many a beer and he knows so much about travelling Suriname you can ask him questions whenever, he and his family are super helpful! Easy bus ride into town and so many different places to eat around his house. Great stay, highly recommend. Cheers Ravin.”
This is a small Studio with a bed and a table for 1 person to stay for a short- or long period
“This little apartment is jus about a 10 minute walk from downtown. It’s very basic but for the price it’s great. It was clean and had the basic things you need. I even cooked a meal with the little kitchen. There is a fantastic grocery store down the road about 5 minutes called Tulip which is super convenient. There are also quite the selection of little shops and restaurants. I’d say this place is great if you plan to explore Paramaribo for a few days and need a cheap but very comfortable place to stay. I’d definitely stay again and have no complaints.”
