“Nellie's place was perfect for my family and friends. We had four children under 5 years old with us, and the toys and child amenities were fantastic. Especially all the figurines under the tv (those kept them busy for hours) and all the outdoor toys. Beautiful, large yard with amazing gardens and a firepit with lots of wood. We were there for three nights and ate every meal out on the patio. It's a perfect set-up, even with an outdoor sink! The walk to the beach is only 10 minutes, but down a huge staircase. Easy for adults, but not with small kids. Driving to the beach is an easy alternative, with lots of parking. Don't forget to see the Lake Huron sunset while you're there!”

“Our hosts were gracious and accommodating. There was a bit of a mix up when we arrived, primarily due to the fact that we booked at the very last minute, but our hosts worked quickly to make sure we were settled in and enjoying the cottage in no time. Everyone was so nice and accommodating and we got exactly what we wanted: a quick getaway to the big lake and a comfortable place to relax while we weren’t out exploring. The highlights of our trip were our friendly and helpful hosts, hiking the nearby Maitland Trail at Falls Reserve Conservation Area, two spectacular Lake Huron sunsets (we stayed for two nights and lucked out with beautiful sunsets each night), and relaxing by the campfire. Also, the Port Albert General Store was a great place, full of character, to stock up on supplies. We would definitely rent again if/when our adventures bring us back to Port Albert.”
