Private Palace with gorgeous view on the Gulf of Nicoya, the surrounding mangroves, and mountains - ideal place to relax and enjoy yourself
“What a gem! We booked Michael's place last minute and couldn't have been happier with the find. The restoration work is beautiful and unlike anything you'll find on the peninsula, maybe the whole province. Lots of attention to detail around the entire grounds to bring back the building's original essence. The interior is replete with Elizabeth's exquisite artwork, including her own gallery on the main floor. It truly felt like a few days of aristocratic living without the associated price tag. Michael and Elizabeth were warm and gracious hosts, wonderful to be around with lives well-lived and stories to accompany them. They always made sure we felt at home during our stay, with Elizabeth's killer omelettes as a highlight of our mornings. If you're staying on the peninsula, I'd highly recommend this place. It is a great place to stay to bounce off to other locales. For light sleepers, louder personalities, and Honeymooners looking to get wild, fair warning: the rooms are open air from room to room to room. So, even though walls separate you physically, you'll be able to hear every word (and sound) from your neighbors and vice-versa. The large fans help drown that out a bit but if you're looking for complete privacy you'll have a harder time. It wasn't an issue for us but seems worth noting.”
Sober and spacious room, decorated marine motifs. In excellent tourist area with restaurant services, ATM, provider, bicycle rental and marine tour operator in a radius of 100mts.
“We booked one night to catch the ferry to Paquera the next morning. The accommodation is really great, very clean, air conditioning if necessary, hot water, good bedding, coffee maker ... it is on the ground floor with a small terrace and just opposite the ferry departure. Rolando is very responsive and everything went well.”
Family atmosphere, personalized attention. Located in the center of Puntarenas, 300 meters from the beach, very close to banks, National Insurance Institute, Courts of Justice, San Rafael Clinic, Stadium, shops, restaurants and commerce in general. One mile from the ferry port. We offer our guests a typical, continental and vegan breakfast, to choose according to your preference
“The owner of hotel don robert is a very friendly host. She will answer all your questions regarding the local area. The hotel is just outside of the main commerce and hustle and bustle of downtown puntarenas. Once inside the gate you are in your own little tranquil paradise. The hotel is very clean and includes a wonderful typical tico breakfast. Value is excellent. A hidden gem.”
