The perfect place to stay. The room was cozy and the bathroom was squeaky clean. The host is responsive and helped with the queries. Even the caretaker was very helpful especially with the luggage. The morning breakfast was fresh and right out of the kitchen.

Traveller's Nest is located at a height, which is a good thing in a hilly town like Shillong. Getting to the place is fairly straightforward, even if navigating the city traffic may not be. Dilip, the caretaker, was at the gate to help with the check-in. The room, while small, was very clean, and the furniture and fixtures were of high quality. The toilet was spacious, too. We had a relaxing afternoon in the room, listening to the rain chatter outside. The night was very peaceful, with no disturbing noises to bother you. Breakfast served in the dining room on the ground consisted of bread, eggs and tea. It was of good quality. Overall a very good experience.

Our stay truly felt like a home away from home. The place was beautiful, well-maintained, and so comfortable. Philarisa’s warm presence made us feel instantly welcome, and the caretaker- Bhopai was always available with a warm smile to help with anything we needed. Breakfasts were delicious and comforting, just like home-cooked meals. A special touch was when the host surprised us with cupcakes for our wedding anniversary — such a thoughtful gesture that made our trip even more memorable. We’re leaving with full hearts and can’t wait to come back!

We recently stayed at The Hesed House in Cherrapunjee, and it was a delightful experience. The cottage is beautifully done up, offering a cozy and warm ambiance, perfect for a getaway. With four well-appointed bedrooms, it comfortably accommodated our group of 6. One of the standout features was the lovely library, perfect for unwinding with a book after a day of exploring, it would be a great idea to include some board games and jigsaw puzzles for the benefit of ones who’d want to unwind otherwise. The kitchenette along with a nice big dining table was well-equipped, giving us the option to enjoy some light meals in the comfort of the cottage. The fireplace added an extra touch of warmth, making the evenings feel particularly special with superbly made cocktails. We also had the pleasure of trying the local khasi food, which was flavourful and authentic. Tracy, the attendant, was always courteous and greeted us with a warm smile, ensuring that we felt right at home. Thank you.
