Tau Studio is a boutique style chalet with a modern stylish decor and a hint of luxury. Everything is provided including top quality linen. It is very spacious but also has a lovely cosy, warm feel. Perfect for couples. It is based in the lovely quiet village of Rangataua which is only a 5-minute drive to Ohakune township where there are plenty of cafes, restaurants and shops. The winter offers fantastic skiing and snowboarding, and summer offers lots of walks, mountain biking and fishing.

Self Contained in Feilding

My husband and I welcome you to Friendly Feilding!! Our sleep out has an ensuite (shower, vanity, toilet), TV, wardrobe and queen bed with linen and towels. There is a jug with mugs, tea/coffee/milk and a fridge. There are no cooking facilities. The sleep out is separate to the house so you can come and go as you please. Easy self check in/out. My mum is a co-host so it really is family run. NB; breakfast isn't included and due to working full time, check in is from 5pm. Thanks :)

Enjoy relaxing on a sunsoaked back porch with birds swooping by, or cuddle up by the fire when it's chilly. 3 neighbouring Native Reserves give a range of Bush walks. It's a great base for local activities. Clear creek to cool down in or great swimming holes only a short drive. We are on the NZ Cycle trail.

Opened in 2022, DuxHouse BnB is conveniently located in Taihape's Motel District on SH1. We are centrally located in the beautiful Rangitikei in the Central North Island. Tongariro NP (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) is just over 45 mins away. Perfect for hiking in summer, or snow fun in winter. Central towns, such as Whanganui and Palmerston North are just over an hour away. Further afield are Napier (2hrs), Taupo (2 hrs), and Wellington (3hrs) making Taihape the perfect central pitstop.

'Brookfields'-Farm stay Hideaway

Right now, August- New born lambs! Set in an idyllic setting, this lifestyle block is only 10 minutes from Feilding but feels like a world away! At Brookfields you can retreat to the farm and also enjoy the native bush walks and Makino stream. August- September we have newborn lambs to see! You can also feed the sheep, ducks and pigs and play with the dogs! Have a massage with therapeutic grade essential oils and tuning forks, a special treat. This whole property is smoke free!

"The Unit" is a Private self contained space away from the main house at the rear of the Garage. It is cosy with views of the countryside. Located 3 minutes up the hill from Taihape township. The Unit gives you all the comforts of home on your journey so you can relax and enjoy your stay. Taihape is a farming town and with the Main Highway going right through it's centre, plenty of choice for dining out. Taihape is commonly Warm summer and cold winter weather. We cater for both.
