Balsam Moon SanctuaryThe Balsam Moon Sanctuary is a cozy off-grid retreat tucked away in the balsam trees of the Mont Eagle Highlands 15 minutes north of Bancroft betwixt several shimmering lakes. We purchased the property in 2020, and have upgraded our home with the pursuit of weaving sustainability with comfort, and poetry with functionality. Guided by the topography, we have crafted 4 interconnecting trails on our 13 acres for your enjoyment and the protection of the forest floor and roaming wildlife.
The Escape Pod - No Neighbors!This cabin site is tucked into the forest at the base of the Deacon Escarpment with a view of the Bonnechere Valley Hills. It is a 10 min hike to the Escarpment Lookout, and roughly a 25 min hike to your canoe on a small lake. There is a picnic table, firepit, outdoor gazebo bar, seasonal outdoor shower and private outhouse. The cabin comes with a map of 30km of trails for you to hike or snowshoe. No neighbours within 500m in any direction. Possibility of occasional guest cars going past.
