If you’re looking for somewhere that feels like home, yet is located close to Kruger National Park, Blyde River Canyon and South Africa’s famed Panorama Route, then this accommodation will tick all the boxes. Cambalala, or “put your feet up and relax” in the Zulu dialect, is conveniently located right at the heart of Mpumalanga Province.

The space
Budget-friendly doesn’t have to mean basic and our unit is comfortably furnished while remaining affordable. The spacious chalet can accommodate eight people, making it ideal whether you’re a family or a group of friends. In addition, we offer three more identical units which can be booked out together if you’re travelling as a larger party. On the ground floor, there’s a double and a twin bedroom. Upstairs, the unit features loft accommodation which sleeps four. It’s especially suitable for families as the kids can have their own space; there’s even a TV and settee up there. Air conditioning is a given. We know that when it comes to getting ready in the morning, it’s important to have a choice of bath or shower, so we fitted two bathrooms, each with towels and hairdryer. Freshly laundered linen is supplied so there’s no need for you to pack your own. The kitchen’s well-equipped and we make sure we clean the braai out on the deck each day so you can barbeque and eat al-fresco. The unit is serviced daily leaving you free to relax and enjoy your vacation without the need to argue over who does the chores.

Cambalala’s four units are located within the grounds of the 4 star wildlife and golf resort of Kruger Park Lodge. With a nine-hole golf course designed by Gary Player, three on-site swimming pools, four tennis courts and a kid’s playground, this award-winning complex is the ideal choice for everyone, whatever their age or interests. Against a verdant backdrop of lush green lawns and dense woodland, there are plenty of opportunities to get up close to some of the area’s wildlife without having to leave the estate. Guests can follow one of the nature walk trails along the river bank or, from the safety of the purpose-built hide, watch the resident hippo potter in the shallows. If you need it, there’s a laundry and even a car wash – they’ve really thought of everything.
