The Homestead has 5 huge bedrooms, 2 indoor living areas and a giant all weather Alfresco with a bar.
Base price is for the Master Bedroom and all house amenities for two guests. If you book for 2 or 10 guests the entire property is yours!
Add extra family/friends at $60 per guest per night, in either of the 2 Queen bed rooms or 2 Double bed rooms on request. There is room for everyone at The Homestead where you can all enjoy your own space without feeling cramped. Our family home is HUGE!
The space
You and your guests will have access to the entire house including the multiple living areas and our amazing Alfresco! When you book The Homestead it is for you and your friends and family only!
In the Alfresco, you can sit at the bar or behind it and be the bar keeper! There is a double fridge and ice machine with glassware provided. (BYO drinks)
There is a lounge area to sit behind the bar and watch the TV, play board games or just enjoy each others company!
Enjoy cooking up a storm in our beautiful kitchen. Large 6 burner gas cooktop - with a custom made stainless steel Teppanyaki griddle, or the kids favourite 2 minute noodles! The Kitchen has all the cookware you will need and exquisite granite benches with 3 breakfast bar chairs. Or if a BBQ is the order of the night, it's located just outside the Alfresco on the verandah for you to enjoy.
Bluetooth your favorite music throughout the entire house (including under the massive verandah while you cook the BBQ!) or section off the areas you want while the kids sleep.
The Master King room has full bathroom including Spa Bath and walk-in robe. Double French Doors that open onto the verandah allow you to enjoy your morning coffee and listen to the birds while watching the local rabbits play.
Every room offers a tranquil view at our country escape.
There is nothing not to love about our family home. We know you will love it just as much as we do!
Guest access
For guest safety, access to the paddocks and the horses (when they're home) are not permitted. Feel free to chat to them over the fence and share a carrot or apple (mind your fingers!), but please do not enter the paddocks. The horses maybe curious and pop their heads over the fence to say 'Hi', but they are off limits to guests from within the paddocks.
Other things to note
Port Albert Race Track -
Directly over the road is access to the historic disused Port Albert Race Track. It's a wonderful experience to go for a walk along the 120+ year old track and visit the old buildings.
We are located around 1.6km from Port Albert Boat Ramp for those who would like to bring their boat for the stay.
Furniture -
My home has beautiful Wormy Chestnut Hardwood floors laid by multi award winning Aquilina Floors. All the chairs and furniture are protected with specific flooring felt to prevent possible damage. For this reason, no internal furniture is NOT to be moved. Additional fees will be charged for damage to the flooring by breaching of these rules.
Dogs and pets -
Please ensure that dogs DO NOT enter the horse paddocks. The yard space is securely fenced to keep your pets out of the paddocks and there is an acre and a half for them to run around on the lawns. Please ensure that dogs are in sight at all times and do not enter the paddocks. Horses, being horses may kick or stomp at your dog. So for everyone's safety, please place your dog on a lead if they may want to explore further than the lawns.
