Johnny O's Cabana was exactly as described. It was a simple cabana nestled in a local neighbourhood. It was close enough to everything we needed yet far enough away that you really got a feel for the island life.

The hosts were amazing setting up travel from the airport to the island. We booked last minute and they were very timely and accommodating. Location was a little ways from downtown but totally walkable.

Great trip - really enjoyed our time on the island!

If you want a traditional cabana in a residential area (not in the main turist area) than this is a good choice. But the area doesn't look inviting and there were fights almoust every evening. Also be prepared not to have airco. Which was a big mistake from our side. It was hot. Very hot.

We had an issue (out of Jana and Joshua's control) that was resolved quickly. Excellent customer service.

The cabana is clean and situated in a very quite area. restaurants and shops can be reached within 10-15 minutes by foot. It is clean and we had a good time there. The mattress is a bit soft though. :) We would definitely come back.

Great little cabana tucked away from any of the main roads. Only a thirty second walk to sunset viewing dock and approximately seven minutes to the center of town. We briefly considered renting bikes from the hosts for a reduced rate, but decided that it wasn't necessary. Furnishings were modest but comfortable, and we never wished for anything more. There is no A/C, but three fans and seven windows provided plenty of ventilation. Plus I think the point of a trip to the Caye is to get out and do, so we weren't devastated about the lack of A/C. The neighbors to the west live simply and were very friendly. There's no hot water, but that wasn't a concern for us given the tempature and humidity of the island. Hosts were excellent and everything was stress free. In summary; clean, simple, and afforfable. A great place to stay while you're at the Caye.
