Welcome to Little Louis, a tranquil retreat in the heart of Prince Edward County. Inspired by the Hameau de la Reine - the Country escape of Marie-Antoinette, gifted to her by her husband King Louis XVI - this beloved 1863 farmhouse was fully renovated in 2020. Located on one acre of land just outside the village of Ameliasburgh, this playfully posh, whimsically regal home offers a princely take on a County getaway. 2 hours from Toronto, 10 minutes to Wellington, 5 minutes to Roblin Lake.

The space
This home is fully licensed per Prince Edward County bylaws (ST-2020-0414 R3) We have set up an external camera that is facing the side door.

Unwind at this lovingly restored, fully-renovated country house, featuring original pine wood floors, a chef's kitchen and antique furnishings for a luxurious yet charming feel. The house is located minutes from Roblin Lake, a favourite local spot with beautifully clear, warm water for swimming. The County's hotspots such as Wellington and Closson Rd. are only 10 minutes away, but the area feels peaceful and secluded.

The outdoor gardens are lush and tranquil, featuring pastoral views, the sound of chirping birds and spectacular natural light that changes with the seasons. During the warm months, an 8-foot picnic table with umbrella is available, as well as 8 Adirondack chairs, 2 chaise lounges, a hammock and a field-stone fire-pit. A top-of-the-range DCL barbecue and outdoor dining table are also available on the West-facing patio to help you make the most of your stay.

Guest access
You will have access to the whole property and grounds (the home benefits from an expansive garden area that stretches across the street onto 213 Salem Rd). There is also a studio building at 213 Salem Rd. that can be accessed upon pre-arranged request at an additional cost for movie nights, special events, dinners, remote working or creative projects - a perfect spot for a writer's retreat or a photographer's getaway.

Other things to note
We have set up an external camera that is facing the side door.

My wife, Katrina, and I run a short term rental property management business called All Ten Wards in Prince Edward County + Ontario cottage country. When not working on our properties you can find me on my skateboard, practicing yoga, or travelling around the world enjoying others' AirBNBs and soaking in the local culture.
