My stay at Sui's was great. The area is quiet and it's a great value with a lot of space for one person or a couple.

This is a pretty, clean and very functional place. The fully equipped kitchen is really nice for a longer stay. Our hosts were warm, responsive and organized. Highly recommended.

Sui was outstanding! She was easy to communicate with, helped us to the best of her abilities. I was in town for a seminar and the place was all I needed. Comfy bed, blender, fridge and shower :) Quiet neighborhood! On top of everything the people in the other unit where at the same seminar and got to commute with them but most of all became my new friends!

Sui's place was nice. I stayed in one of a set of private units. Nice and spacious, clean, kitchen with all the basic needs. Sui had a bike I could use, which got me to the San Jose convention center in about 15 minutes, which worked well for me. San Jose is very bike-friendly. Had a good stay!

Since I had an internship this summer in the Bay area, my wife and I stayed at Sui's place for three months. The place is not too far away from my company's shuttle bus station (at SJSU) and the Amtrak/Caltrain station. Also, our favorite L & F fish market is nearby. So we think the location is pretty good. If you walk towards East William street, there are a couple of parks, which are good for walking after dinner. The other direction is not pleasant for taking a walk. Sui and her husband are very nice and helpful. They took us a tour in the neighborhood when we first arrived. The apartment is very clean, and has everything there. We enjoyed cooking sometimes in the micro-kitchen since we love our homemade food. We have a big bedroom and bathroom, king-sized bed. These all make our stay more comfortable. There is a small garden behind our apartment. During our stay, Sui has planted some flowers and vegetations in the garden, which look very nice. There are other three apartments nearby, and we have made friends with the residents there during our stay. Overall, thanks for Sui's hosting! We would love to recommend this place to our friends.

Despite being out of town, Sui made sure to contact me ahead of time to arrange check-in and had someone waiting for me with the key when I arrived (who also kindly served as a nearby contact). Overall the place was fine and matched the pictures. Loud neighbors and dogs might bother light sleepers and the wifi is shared with a neighbor who hosts the router, so it's not the best place if you're hoping to spend a lot of time at the listing. I was attending a conference at the convention center and wasn't there much beyond sleeping, so it worked well for my purposes. The neighborhood wasn't the most amenable to walking around and there wasn't much nearby, but downtown was only about 7 minutes away by Uber.
