The space

Villa d'Arte is situated on the southern hillside below the historical Etruscan town of Volterra, with beautiful views across the hills of the Cecina valley, which meanders towards the sea about 30 miles away. The Villa was erected in the 1850’s by the Fratelli Tangassi, a family of Volterran artisans who made their fortune by selling their exquisite works of alabaster in Mexico. The Villa was built on top of an existing farmhouse and a small chapel was added on its side, dedicated to the Madonna of Guadalupe, the patron saint of Mexico. The Villa itself is thriving on a vibrant dialogue with its surroundings. Since years people from all over are coming to stay in this beautiful place.
The villa is composed by 3 bedrooms and it can host up to 6 people. We have the internet connection but we don't have the TV, so for sure you will have an amazing and quite stay here in Volterra.

Such a lovely villa in a wonderful. Really appreciated the speedy communication and ‘meet & greet’ - as finding the place otherwise may have proved challenging. Such a peaceful and beautiful setting, would highly recommend.

Very rustic. We arrived at night and followed the host down a very long road which was expected but there are no signs. So when we returned the following night it was impossible to find without help. The host was none too pleased that we had to wake her to come get us. After…
