The space
We live on the side of a mountain by the river and sea and have created a camping experience which is unique.A true small scale house bus living experience. If you fancy living in a tiny home or off the grid, start with a weekend away in Lady our 1950's Bedford House Bus. She has great bones ,the beds are comfy and we have electric and usually great internet unless in a storm.! However the compost toilet and shower are just outside in the bush about a minute walk outside. please expect an eclectic mix of fabrics, appliances and decor - we upcycle, recycle and reuse good quality vintage products.

Lady is a rough old diamond, full of History, character, and flaws. She is eclectic, quirky, boho, retro, vintage and gypsy all rolled into one.
Ideal for people who enjoy the outdoor lifestyle and want to upgrade from camping to glamping. We have endeavoured to make this an affordable delightful and unique experience for you. There is a stocked camp kitchen near by so you can cook and relax there. This is a communal area. Hot bush shower and basic compost toilet outside.

We live on 8 acres of native bush, right opposite the river and with easy Coromandel walks and lots of nooks and crannies to enjoy. The Tapu Valley has a wonderful Cafe at the Rapaura Watergardens and the food is divine. We have the best of both worlds here, the stunning coast road half way to Coromandel Town from Thames, and over the gravel road to Hot water Beach and Cathedral Cove. We are just 2km to the beach for fish and chips and the local pub and store and last fuel before Coromandel. So much to see and do on your doorstep. We love this untouched valley full of artists and fishermen, Beautiful Native bush and swimming holes in the River.

Guest access
The Bus is cosy but can
- sleep Six. Two couples two singles.
- An extra caravan can also available for three more people or bigger groups - this is located higher up on the land in its own site as photos show. (Tui Caravan) This is where the day bed is located also.
- Has a separate outside hot shower, bush bath and compost loo - note this is shared with the caravan guests
- Close to many of Coromandels best attractions
- Warm and cosy in the winter, hot and toasty in the summer (fan provided)
- Just opposite a great swimming hole in the Tapu River
- Linen provided as is cleaning
-Large shared camp kitchen available to use with fridge/oven and most kitchen things
-Pizza oven available for groups of 5 or more when staying 3 nights. This facility is at the discretion of us and dependant on our plans( we cannot light the oven up for two people sorry)
I am happy to make you all the dough and sauce and fire up the oven for group bookings. We enjoy pizzas galore and the kids LOVE making their own. You just bring toppings along. We are now into sweet pizzas too. Apple chocolate and cinnamon is a favourite and we are the proud inventors of Ice Cream Pizza!

Other things to note
The house truck has a steep narrow entrance up to the king bedroom area not suitable for disabled people, although sleeping downstairs in the double bed would work fine.
Toilet - The Humanure toilet (compost ) may be a new experience for you, please follow the instructions and we will empty for you regularly. Its a really clean and non smelly eco system. Please dont expect hotel luxury, this is a back to basics experience.
The camp kitchen and toilet/shower are shared facilities
The Camp Kitchen is an indoor/outdoor flow. We try and keep it as clean as possible but you may find dust/critters and other creatures at times. Food stocks are stored away.
NOTE : On Occasion we are open to one night stays mid week $120 For two people. Increased price due to cleaning. Please email about this - not instant book. Also over holidays and Christmas we ask a 3 night minimum stay.please enquire if you want 2 nights we can do our best if there is a gap in bookings.

I am a single parent of two wildlings and simply love creating spaces to share with others. Glamping gypsy trucks and safari tents off the beaten track inspire me. I am so happy in nature and crave travelling, culture, organics ,yoga, food and horses. My utmost passion is supporting pregnant women, co-creating mother blessings and sharing stories with spiritual women. I also like wine and mad clothes and letting loose and enjoying people who are creating eclectic paths in life! I feel blessed to have children they mean the world to me. Love little people and all people in general!

During your stay
I live higher up on the property in a private location. I have two kids that explore the land but will let you have your privacy. We are busy bees and are out and about alot but certainly enjoy a drink and chat with you in the camp kitchen.
