A two-bedroom one-bath adobe house walking distance from the center of town.

The space

We call it Ranch Water because it is our favorite cocktail -- a mix of tequila with lime juice and Topo Chico mineral water -- made famous by the Lost Horse Saloon here in Marfa (and later picked up by Martha Stewart).

Guest access

The whole house and spacious lot is yours. There are two bedrooms -- the master has a king bed with belgian linen duvet. The second bedroom has a full sized bed.

Please note that the one bathroom is through the master bedroom, so guests have to go through there to get to the bath. I like to mention that in case privacy is an issue.

Ginger's home was absolutely wonderful! We came to Marfa for Thanksgiving and her home made it that much more special and peaceful. Beautifully designed, clean, and complete with the amenities needed to make a lovely meal. We especially loved eating Thanksgiving outside on the big dining table, and marveling at the decor. We will definitely come again!

Ginger’s place is perfect for some deep relaxing. The hammock out front was a great way to start the day with a coffee or watch the sunset at night. Close to town and all amenities, you can walk around the corner for a delicious dinner at Stellina’s. We loved all of Ginger’s little touches and bookshelf full of fun discoveries, she was really easy to get in touch with and fast will all responses with a great local knowledge of the area. We’d stay again for sure.

Ginger's home provides THE perfect getaway to Marfa. It's so well appointed and thoughtfully provisioned down to great coffee and super fluffy towels. The attention is all in the details here, which we so appreciated!. Not only is the house adorable and carefully renovated, the beds are very comfortable and the decor is amazing. She has a great eye and it shows in every detail - superb collection of books, great taste in furniture and art. A cozy hammock, incredible textiles, no stone left unturned. Yet if feels very organic, not overly done as some vacation homes can be. We felt so at home. Her place provided us the perfect gateway and landing spot for an unforgettable weekend in Marfa. There's so much to see in Marfa but one can also hole up in this special cozy spot, take in the beautiful vistas, revel in the quiet and fully relax. We will definitely be back!

The house is a visual pleasure, showing the hand of a designer in the artful arrangement of interesting furniture and small objects, as well as the spare, serene architecture. A wonderful bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, reading nook with fascinating books on art, philosophy and the region, large desk with comfortable chair. The quiet location was perfect for us. We read, cooked, ate, rested. The internet worked well, although our cell phones did not penetrate the adobe walls. We were delighted to escape TV. We might have immersed ourselves in all the art and dining opportunities Marfa offers, but we found that the privacy and charm of the house held greater appeal, this time (the week after Harvey struck our home city, Houston). The information packet Ginger left us gave super complete information about the town and its many offerings, including the amazing grocery store where specialty organic items you'd expect in NY or Houston are available, for a price. A lovely experience.
