Extremely unfriendly place. Unable to get any response from the host, we went to the address. His name is not on the list of tenants, the door requires a code and we had not been given an apt. number. We asked someone walking out of the building if they knew the host who then referred us to president of the condo association, James Bigg. He told us that our host, Barrett Ware was a criminal and that if he showed his face, he would call the police. Bigg says that Ware was evicted and the apt. locks were changed. Then, Ware broke into the apt., changed the locks and has been "squatting" in the apt. since. Bigg said that Ware was more than a year in arrears on his mortgage payments and thus the bank had foreclosed. We decided to rent a hotel room instead of getting tangled up in this mess.

The place was great, comfortable and in a nice area. Barrett answered questions or anything that came up quickly. The check-in/out works perfectly with no hassle. Overall great place to stay while visiting D.C.

Loved this stay! Nice nook right off of Connecticut Ave. Didn't have to go far for food or any other amenities. CVS was a five minute walk away as well as good food! There was this Macro Bistro and Comet. Even a gas station, Exxon. The space was cozy and welcoming. Where it is positioned, its secluded and trees surround most of the windows. it was nice to hear the leaves rustle and the crickets at night. Really didn't need to use the A/C either, natural breeze flowed through the space. The kitchen and bathroom were very nice. You had everything you needed if you forgot anything. Oh and the bed was super comfortable!! Slept like a baby. The best part, I was able to bring my cat. She was able to feel comfortable there. Great Weekend!

Barrett was great at communicating and his apartment provided a wonderful stay. Pros: quaint comfortable apartment, secure, location, all you need is in walking distance, and lovely neighborhood. Having a washing machine was great too for my long stay. Also the apartment is so near the bus stop that you can see it from the bedroom window, and the Metro is just a short 5-10 min walk away. Try it, you'll love it.
