This unit is a privately owned luxury condo in the condo-hotel, The Whaler, right on Kaanapali Beach. It is beautifully remodeled and an absolutely gorgeous paradise retreat! This first floor 1 bed/2 bathroom condo sleeps 4. King bed and king sofa sleeper.
The walk-out aspect of this condo makes it super unique…you're literally just steps from the ocean and beach! The grassy area off the lanai is great for lounging or playing! The condo is located on the sunny side of the building - it gets gorgeous light in the mornings :)
Guests have access to the condo, pool, hot tub, ocean :) Also, the whaler's fitness center.
Please be aware that there is a $15/day convenience fee, not included in your booking on Airbnb, which will be paid directly to The Whaler at check in. This fee covers parking, pool and hot tub access, chair and cabana use, and bottomless clean and fluffy beach towels :)

Really fun things to do during your stay:
- Feed the fish at the koi pond, every morning at 8:30am!
- Pop by Longhi's in Lahaina for breakfast…enjoy a delicious cinnamon roll or their house made frittata or quiche.
- Happy Hour at Leilani's - try the fish tacos, with a dessert of Hula Pie if you have room...
- Book a catamaran trip…leave right from Kaanapali Beach! Great for snorkeling, sunset cruises, or whale watching! We love The Hula Girl!
- The Pacific Whale Foundation also has great biologist-led whale watches
- If you have a car, head to Paia and check out the galleries and shops. Or drive the Road to Hana!
- If you have a baby (or small kiddo) head to Baby Beach, off Mala Boat Ramp in Lahaina. Perfect beach for kiddos, no surf break and shallow for quite a ways out!
- Catch the nightly tiki-torch lighting and cliff diver at Black Rock, just before sunset.
- Snorkle at Kapalua Bay, or Black Rock, keep your eyes peeled for honu (sea turtles).
- Enjoy shave ice from Ulalanis...the most delicious and legit shave ice, in our opinion ;) Several locations!
- Visit the aquarium, The Maui Ocean Center! The shark tank is so cool!
CHECK-IN time is at 4:00 PM HST AND CHECK-OUT is by 11 A.M. HST
CANCELLATION: All payments are non refundable. In the event you need to cancel, your payments will not be refunded unless we are able to lease the period you reserved.
CONVENIENCE FEE – A convenience fee of $15/day will be charged by The Whaler. This fee covers parking, pool/hot tub access, endless fresh beach towels, cabana and chair use. Towels are issued by the pool. Towel cards and parking passes are issued by the front desk upon check in.
A $300 refundable damage deposit is required for each stay. Providing all of the following are met, your $300 deposit will be refunded within 7 days of your check-out (or 48 hours of check out if booked via Airbnb):
-No damage, beyond normal wear and tear, to the unit or its contents.
-No charges are incurred of rents or services rendered during the stay.
-All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure.
-No linens are lost or damaged.
-Renter is not evicted by the owner (or representative of the owner), local law enforcement, or security company employed by The Whaler.
-Guest check in and out in a timely manner.
FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS – Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check in.
HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE/LAUNDRY – $150 Cleaning Fee will be charged per reservation. $75 Mid-Stay Cleans are optional and must be scheduled prior to check-in. While linens, bath towels and other amenities are included in the unit; daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. Laundry facilities are located both in the unit and near the elevators on each floor of the building. PLEASE do not put sandy items in the laundry machines. Do not overload the machines.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY – The maximum number of guests is limited to 4 persons or as specified in the rental agreement. If the number of guests exceeds 4 or as specified in the rental agreement, the additional guests shall leave immediately. If the additional guests do not leave, (a) Guest shall forfeit all rent for the balance of the term of the reservation (calculated on a per day basis for the date of notice to vacate the property), and (b) all guests will be require to leave immediately.
MINIMUM STAY – This property requires a five (5) night minimum stay or as specified in the rental agreement. Longer minimum stays may be required during holiday periods.
MINIMUM RENTAL AGE – Renters must be at least 25 years of age to rent the unit. A person of minimum rental age must occupy the unit if minors are staying in the unit.
PAYMENT – All payments are non-refundable. An advanced payment of 50% of the rental rate is required to secure reservation within 24 hours of reservation. Full payment is due 30 days prior to occupancy. If the final payment is not made by the date specified in the rental agreement, Owner reserves the right to immediately cancel your reservation and the condo relet at the owners option. Payment can be made by credit card.
PARKING – Parking is included in the convenience fee – parking is available in the structure below the building, and in the flat lots near the tennis courts. Please display your parking pass on your dash at all times during your stay.
PETS - Pets are not permitted in our condo and/or on the premises. If you are found in violation of this policy, the Owner reserves the right to immediately cancel your reservation and occupancy of the dwelling. (a) Guest shall forfeit all rent for the balance
of the term of the reservation (calculated on a per day basis for the date of notice to vacate the property), and (b) pet violation penalty shall be loss of the full security deposit.
POOL/JACUZZI – Children under the age of 9 are not permitted in the pool area unless accompanied by a responsible adult. Jacuzzi is limited to persons age 12 and above only. No life guard on duty – use at your own risk.
RATE CHANGES – Rates subject to change without notice.
SMOKING - Smoking is not permitted in our condo and/or on the premises. If you are found in violation of this policy, the Owner reserves the right to immediately cancel your reservation and occupancy of the dwelling. (a) Guest shall forfeit all rent for the balance of the term of the reservation (calculated on a per day basis from the date of notice to vacate the property), and (b) pet violation penalty shall be loss of the full security deposit. Additionally guests will be billed for cleaning charges, which could easily exceed $1000.00
STORM POLICY – No refunds will be given for storms.
WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS – Any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance.
ACCIDENT AND INJURY. All of the units are privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The owners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
