A great place to gather with friends and/or family for a few days or a week, as Fosterton House offers beautiful, accommodation for 10-14 people set on 100 acres overlooking the Barrington Tops. Relax together: walk, play, read, picnic, swim in the modern pool or nearby in the flowing Williams River. At night you can enjoy the stars around your firepit. In the house there are plenty of places to gather or spend some quiet time alone. Set up for 10 with extras on a sofa & day bed.

The space
Our house has views to die for: looking across to the peaks of the World Heritage Barrington Tops National Park. Our beautiful swimming pool is attached to the house, suited for both family games or lounging around while wallabies graze nearby. A variety of native birds frolic and feed in the surrounding bush-land or on the grass near the house. With a wrap around verandah, (an Australian specialty) there are plenty of places to sit to enjoy the views, the group you are with or some peace and quiet. Four short, but moderate walks are available through the 100 acres, allowing you to explore different eco-systems and if lucky, you might spot our local koalas or the very shy Lyre Bird.

Guest access
Fosterton House is reached via all weather roads. The Fosterton Loop is well signposted and forms part of the network of tourist drives in the area.

Other things to note
Dungog is a high rainfall area but whenever staying in the country and planning to have a fire it is important to check the local conditions. Go to www.rfs.nsw.gov.au or call 1800 679 737 for current fire bans.
As you use the wider 100 acres, be aware there are another 2 small cabins on the property, but they are set out in a way to provide privacy. The pool is exclusively for and behind the house, out of view of the cabins.

We love travelling, exploring new cultures, meeting new people, learning and making a positive contribution as we go. East Timor, Nepal, France, Bangladesh, Wales, Netherlands are some of our favourite destinations. Having travelled around Australia for over a year and as lovers of nature, art/creating and transformational growth, we want to provide a place for all those things. When we travel we mix it up: Youth hostels, in people's homes and simple, unusual local accommodation. We speak a little French & a little Dutch (always trying to improve) and when we visit another country try to learn a little of their language while there.
