I spent a couple nights at Patricia’s on a music practice retreat (just me and my instrument). It was a great place for a productive retreat... beautiful views, well stocked kitchen, excellent location to take hikes on my breaks. As others have noted, it’s an older, rustic space,…

We're glad the cottage was a good retreat for you and you had a lovely stay. The cleaning lady was there the day before and evidently missed the few cobwebs and ivy -- will check about the musty smell in the bedroom area. The bedding should have all been freshly washed and…

Terrific spot up in the trees but close to town. Full of Fairfax charm and character. I was provided everything I wanted or needed! Would stay there again in a heart beat

Great location nestled in the hills in Fairfax. Beautiful and relaxing. Parking is a little tricky but Pat and Les were helpful with how and where to park. Overall a great experience. Highly recommended.

Place is as described. Eclectic, fully functional, rustic. I would describe it more like a cabin feel. The value is good. The stairs down are a little steep but fine as long as you are careful. I enjoyed the step back with the gas stove and open windows. Wifi was great. Good hot…

Response from Patricia:
As advertised, the cottage is over 100 years old, and has been restored and upgraded while still maintaining its eclectic history, with waring abut the front steps (back steps easier with 2 railings). It is thoroughly cleaned before each guest with freshly washed linens, towels…

The eclectic decor and knick knacks made my stay even more interesting and enjoyable than I imagined. So much personality! The penultimate Marin county cottage? I say yes!

Response from Patricia:
We were happy to host you at the cottage. The cottage is over 100 years old - yes, as you noticed the glass in the kitchen and entry are about that old. Lots of wonderful music history as well -- Chuck Day jammed here with Van Morrison +
