In this centrally located house, everything for your family is at your fingertips. It is a very nice house for a couple with a baby or toddler up to 2 years of age. We like to cook ourselves and have extensive cooking supplies and herbs. The house is super central to the lively street of Gijsbrecht, with all the shops and restaurants within walking distance. The city center of Hilversum is +- 15 minutes away by foot. Central location to Amsterdam and the Hoorneboegse Heide.
The space
Cozy 1930s house in a nice location near the Gijsbrecht, and the Hoorneboegse Heide. It is a cozy, but a bit older house. There is a lot of refurbishment, but there are also some dated elements such as the kitchen and toilet. It is fine, clean and functioning.
Living room: A nice place for a cozy place to have a drink as a couple at the nice dining table or as a family. Unfortunately, the box in the photo is no longer there. The living room has a spacious corner sofa to relax on with a nice TV with Netflix.
In the food part there is a black stick chair suitable for a child who can sit independently. There may be room in the living room to work on a desk. There are also a little bit of toys for children from 0 to 2 years old. Unfortunately, the fireplace that is present cannot be used. In addition, there are fine 2 large French doors.
Kitchen: The kitchen is a bit older, but still in very good condition and equipped with all comforts. Think of extensive herbal mix, standard stuff for cooking like rice, bulgur, kidney beans. There is a refrigerator that you can use. There is a combi oven + microwave that is a bit older, but still goes well for a lasagna, homemade cake or other food. It's just a bit older and has some blacker stains on the bottom.
Downstairs there is a toilet, which is also a little older just like the sink. There are some kind of chronic stains on it, but of course it has been cleaned :)
You go upstairs through the hall, note: this is a bit steep. Truly a city staircase. The stairs don't have stair gates at the moment. If necessary, please send us a message. Maybe the stair gates will be there for our own son. But at the time of writing, it's not over yet.
Bathroom: A small dated bathroom, with a simple sink and a shower, a shower. It's small but fine. There is a nice bath mat and there are nice towels available.
Bedroom: We have a spacious bed of 160x220 with nice down blankets. The room is reasonably dark at night. It's a cozy room but very pleasant. In the room you can use 1 built-in closet with hangers.
Children's room: Upon request, we can leave the children's room open if you indicate to come with a child from 0 to 2 years. If you indicate that you will arrive with 2 of us, this room will be locked. The children's room is nicely furnished and nice and dark. Bedding is available if you indicate that. The crib is 60x120 cm and is at a low setting.
Garden: We have outside a garden where you can sit. We have 4 garden chairs and a small cozy folding table. Also we have a small bench. The garden is still under renovation, so unfortunately there are no flowers in it yet, at the time of writing. This is what we want to do in the spring. The garden is fully screened so your child can play safely there. There are containers for the garbage in the barn.
The house is equipped with smoke detectors.
Please note, the wood stove in the photo is unfortunately not possible due to safety.
