This family home is a very comfortable and attractive 3 story house overlooking the North Shore mountains and Howe Sound. It's located on Bowen Island - a gorgeous island getaway a 20 minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver. This is an otherwise owner-occupied home, set up to be accommodate visiting guests but owner will not be in the premises and guests will have access to the entire home.

The space
It's the perfect combination of being surrounded by nature, yet having foot and car access to pretty much anything you'd want to do within a matter of a few minutes.

The top floor has a front balcony, a back deck, kitchen, living area, dining area, main bedroom (queen bed) and bathroom.

The middle floor has a bedroom (queen bed), bathroom and living room/den with a pull out queen sofa bed, grand piano, and a deck off that room.

The bottom floor is a large office/ library with a double bed. All the floors share the stunning view. There is a very comfortable couch in each living room and sleeping foam mats with plenty of bedding for extras. The 2 decks, a balcony, and a pond provide lovely outdoor spaces. Note that lower pond is level with the deck so small children must be carefully monitored when in that area.

Because this is an otherwise occupied home, closets, drawers and fridge are not empty. There is a space in every room for a suitcase and a place to hang clothes.. The fridge will have plenty of room for your food, with a small amount of space taken up with condiments, oils, vinegar etc, which are all available for your use.

Note, if there are members of your group with mobility issues note that there are a lot of stairs on my property, both to access the house and within the home.

Though the home can accommodate a number of people - it is NOT a party house. It is best suited to mature adults (in behaviour, not necessarily age!) and families. This is very important for prospective renters to understand as respecting my neighbours is important for my ability to share my home on airbnb. So if you're looking for a place to hang with friends on the deck till the wee hours - my home is not well suited to that.

Note about pricing: I have purposely kept my prices incomparably low in order to keep it affordable for families and friends to gather and because with added fees and taxes there is 35% more cost added on by airbnb. I also do so because some people expect a short term rental to be a non-lived in space. Though the bonus is, a lived in home invariably functions much better, I want to ensure your expectations are in line with the accommodations.

Lastly, airbnb only refers to "Pets" as a dog lover, I DO accept a dog with guests, though a bit reluctantly as I have new carpets. So I'm hoping you'll prevent muddy paws in the house. Alas, I have have family members with severe cat allergies so cannot have cats in the house.
