Relax & play with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. We are a family cottage with lots of Character! This is a gorgeous private lake. Water is wonderfully clean. Play in the sand or Dive right off the end of the dock and swim to the floating raft for some all day sun! Enjoy a fire in the evenings right at the waters edge. Screen room facing the water to avoid bugs. Visiting in the winter? enjoy the stunning walk along our quiet road, the snow is beautiful and cars are minimal.
The space
We have 2 interior bedrooms with Queen Beds, there is a heated 4 season bunkee that was entirely renovated. The bunkee has a new Queen Bed and is located right in the laneway just steps away from the front entrance boasting 3 very large windows that open. This is perfect for a second couple or older kids wanting space. Bunkee also has a small futon linens for the futon must be requested.
the beach is nothing short of gorgeous. there is a sandy place to play or sit, two docks, a floating raft, waterside deck and waterside fire pit. dont like to walk in the water slowly? dive right off the end of the dock! this is a refreshing and gorgeous spring fed lake. the water is simpy amazing for swimming and sporting. the lake boasts many quiet bays for fishing and kayaking as well as various creeks for the more adventerous soul.
The drinking water is lake intake, it is filtered with UV light, however many guests opt to bring their own water as it can not be guaranteed.
2 cars fit in the driving spaces right at the front door, an additional car can be parked at the top of the hill. Absolutely no parking anywhere other than the designated parking spots.
Sheds are off limits to guests.
we have lovely neighbours that you generally can not see, they are quite and private on both sides and we ask that you be respectful to them and quiet in the evenings/night.
we have a HUGE deck that faces the water, perfect for children to play while parents BBQ, fantastic for dinners or space for everyone to lounge quietly. Different spots on the deck get both morning and afternoon sun while the whole deck is sun filled mid day.
There is a waterfront deck that can be used and has great shade. you must be mindful of small children as the stairs off the deck lead directly into the lake. Baby gate is suggested for small children but not provided unless requested specifically.
the waterside Screen room is perfect for enjoying some mid day shade, escaping the bugs, playing cards or staying out of any rain.
Fishing is excellent.
WINTER GUESTS: please note there is a short hill to walk or drive down from the road. we will clear it but in snowy conditions a 4x4 is required to drive down. parking does come right to the front door but the weather needs to be considered, we will help you with this closer to your stay.

PDFs should be worn when using water craft of any kind.
there are steep ledges exercise caution.
children must be conatabtly supervised in the water and wear PDFs where applicable.

dogs must stay on our property, keep pets supervised as we have wildlife around
use of playpen or highchair is at your discretion, please use appropriately and carefully, you must ensure the safe use of any borrowed items.
Guest access
you will have access to the entire property outside of 1 room and the shed.
Other things to note
The laneway is not useable in the winter without 4 wheel drive. The road is well maintained all year round as many residence on this private lake live here. You may need to park at the top of the laneway in the winter.
use the ice surface at your own risk and discretion. frozen lakes are hazardous and need to be respected and treated properly, we can not guarantee the safety of the ice. comfortable assessing Ice? There are generally walking paths on the ice and you can definitely ice fish right out front.
wood and kindling will be provided for the woodstove but can only be used after instruction is provided. ONLY burn the provided wood and kindling. no magazines, coloured cardboard, pine cones, nothing at all except what we provide.
there are steep ledges around the property you must exercise caution. Children must never be left unattended.
Propper PDFs must be word on any used or borrowed water toys or kayaks. The water gets very deep and children must always be supervised in or around the water.
Please bring your own PDF's for water safety.
The woodstove is very cozy, beautiful and sets a wonderful ambiance and luxurious feeling, however it is HOT and can cause serious burns! You must exercise extreme caution around a wood burning stove, especially with children or anybody with an unsteady gait. Please ask for a tutorial before use.
a BBQ and propane are provided, you must exercise caution and use this item safely as we can not guarantee it's safety. Please turn off all burners and the propane tank when not in use and never leave the BBQ unattended.
only run the dryer during the day and when you are present. do not run while you are asleep or gone from the property, all dryers are fire hazards. please empty the lint trap before and after each use. it can be found inside the dryer door.
WIFI is satelite, interruptions are extremely rare but can occur, we are here to assist you right away. please let us know before your stay if internet is for business/necessary so we can test speeds on the day of arrival.
water is properly UV filtered but can not be guaranteed.
Bees can be present, they are most active spring and again in late summer. Please bring any necessary medication and be mindful of allergies
Allergens can not be guaranteed to be gone, please discuss and disclose any health concerns so we can advise properly.
Ticks are present in our area, please wear long pants, long sleaves, tuck pants into socks and use bug spray with DEET, please also check the Ontario Government's guidelines and health Canada to avoid tick borne illness.
Other wildlife is present in our area, skunks, porcupines and any other wildlife local to our area. Please keep dogs leashed and contained to our property. The Ontario Ministry offers loads of advice.
ALL CAMP FIRES MUST BE EXTINGUISHED BEFORE LEAVING THE FIRE.
No glass outdoors to protect the feet of everyone.
we are on a septic, absolutely NOTHING but toilet paper can go down the toilet. No baby wipes, makeup wipes, feminine hygiene products, contraceptives, paper towel or Anything other than the toilet paper provided. any septic issues due to improper use will result in the septic needing to be pumped at renters expense.
Please bring any and all necessary medicines and products for your health and safety and be sure to remove any medicines from the property.
pets and children frequent this cottage, we ask that it remain a 100% drug free zone.
