The space

Enjoy a private floor with spacious bedroom and luxurious bathroom in our townhome. Shared access to high-end kitchen (with espresso maker and breakfast included), dining space, and elegant living room. Plus, incredible views from the roof deck!

You'll enjoy radiant heat (in your own private zone). We also have a comfortable twin air mattress that can accommodate a third person.

The first floor (bedroom and bathroom) is all yours! You are also welcome to shared use of the second floor - kitchen, living room, dining room, library, bar, and small balcony. Finally, please enjoy the gorgeous views from our fourth floor roof deck - a great place to enjoy your morning coffee!

Our neighborhood is very walkable - Ellen walks to work downtown every day, and Capitol Hill/First Hill are just a few blocks over. There's a bus pickup two blocks away, with direct lines to downtown. And always an abundance of Uber/Lyft! We love being so close to the action, but in a neighborhood that is quieter (and has ample street parking).

We do have two pets, a small dog named Percy and a cat named Samantha. They're friendly and won't bother you (but would of course be happy to play with you, if you like animals!). They are not allowed to enter your bedroom or bathroom, but they do hang out in shared spaces.

We're available to answer any questions you may have - we do prefer email during the work day.

The Central District is just a few blocks from First Hill and Capitol Hill - quiet, green street with no traffic noise and plenty of street parking, but easy to walk back from an evening out in Cap Hill. We have two lovely parks within three blocks, and we are just a few blocks from Seattle University. We have some wonderful nearby cafes - we will provide a list of our favorite neighborhood restaurants and local attractions!

Everything was great! We loved the welcome from Samantha, Elle's cat, she's so lovely! There's nothing to complain about, nice room, clean bathroom, warm card welcome and chocolate. :) The bus stop is just a few minutes from the house, one bus drives you direct to downtown.

A comfortable, convenient location. The number 3 or 4 bus runs frequently and makes many stops downtown. We could also walk to Lake Washington easily. If you like to walk, it's almost all downhill through the International District to Union Station and Pioneer Square - then …

Ellen and Evan were great and pretty easy going. I'd definitely recommend to anyone. Everything as described and the floor was very much private.

I'm a Tennessee native who, after living all over the East Coast, has recently settled in Seattle. My husband Evan and I are newlyweds, and we enjoy travel, hiking, cycling, cooking, and exploring our new (West/best?) coast! We're long-time AirBNB users but first-time hosts, an…
